MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

This is true. Only one time I have done this in the last decade and it was a complete mix up. However, you can ALWAYS get a refund if you have any decent argument. I don't get why people think you can't.

If you don't have a legitimate argument, of course you won't. But in cases like this they would not say no to it.

I don't think this should be shut down at all unless it starts to get real ugly. Right now I see it as a debate about consumer rights in this situation. I find it hard to believe that anyone could defend this at this point though. And it can not be denied that this is poor customer service. I hope there is somebody out there still up working to get this game ready to dl because they have to know people are staying away. There would be no excuse for not putting a blurb on the PS store.

I pre-ordered a hard copy and am picking it up in the morning. I'm saying you could be a little more helpful since you seem to be the only one in the world that has not only gotten a hold of Sony but literally got a refund in 5min. That's my point.

They clearly dropped the ball here. This should have been ready to go far in advance of zero hour.

Glad you're a saint. In all honesty, I don't care if you get your money back now, later, or ever. You can't hold people's hand forever.

By the way, read my other post. I didn't call Sony at 4am. I called right after this did not post up in the PS Store and my refund was processed via email. But yes, I am lying. Sure. I don't even know why I continue to bother posting on here sometimes. It truly is a waste of time and energy.

This kind of reminds me of one of those old school dance contests where the last couple dancing wins. The last person to post before the game drops should get the game for free, or be reimbursed. lol

Well let me clarify, 5 minutes was exaggeration. But in all honesty, I've received refunds for games before VERY quickly.

When I called Sony earlier, I talked to the woman extremely briefly (easily 5 or less minutes) and she knew what was going on. I told her if it did not post, I wanted a refund. She told me she would process it and if it was still not working after a few hours I would certainly receive my $60. I later got an automated email from Sony saying my refund was processed.

Other times, I call and if I have a VALID reason to be upset I easily get my refund. You might wait to get ahold of someone for 20 minutes, but typically (from my experience) the conversation is brief.

In reality what do y'all think the compensation will be/if any? I doubt an apology will be suffice for most people.

Not sure why you continue to comment. You're adding nothing to the conversation other than being that annoying caddy at the golf course who adds in unnecessary tidbits.

Indcolts, if you would truly like to know more please feel free to PM me. Sony takes 2-3 days to refund money, but typically it is within a day. I'll likely have my money back tomorrow (Wednesday latest).

Maybe some sort of in game DLC for free? I wouldn't expect much if anything.

This is a great community with great posters. Everyone is just angry and rightfully so and everyone gets angry in different ways. Good luck to all of you I'm sure Sony is working hard on this but it's still a major scew up. Im betting everything will be better by later this morning. Just a bummer all the way around for those who ordered digitally. Hopefully when I wake up everyone is posting about how great the game is.
