Madden NFL 15 News Post

EA Sports today released a new Madden NFL 15 trailer featuring Luke Kuechly of the Carolina Panthers. The trailer shows Kuechly being transformed into what appears to be a vastly improved player model over the models found in Madden NFL 25.

Here's the whole trailer's script:

Quote:
"I'm transforming, into something I never knew I could become.

If you don't know me by now, you will."

The trailer heavily hints at the prospect that Madden has been completely revamped, at least graphically -- but it hints at something even bigger.

Madden NFL 15 arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 26th.

Guess we'll have to wait until June to find out what EA is up to with this year's game, any ideas from you guys?

I am a sim player but I just find ways to make madden playable for me. I only play cfm so i hope they include most options and upgrade that mode. UT and online play doesn't apeal to be because all the the cheesy players online. My number wishlish item is for improve a.i and playcalling. No more hype for me but I will buy the game because I KNOW WHAT I AM BUYING.

Awesome teaser trailer. I'm excited, looks like madden doesn't want to be left behind in the player model area.

Im guessing these will be used for cut scenes. Hopefully they will move more toward Real time presentation. Always is an eye sore when Tom Brady throws a for a first down and is on the sideline clapping.

With that said I am eager to find more about the game especially the dynamic halftime and post game stuff.

So by "dramatic all-new camera angles" EA really means we're still working towards where we were with camera angles in M12 right?

You mean by showing a pre-rendered trailer?

I just wouldn't expect too much here from Madden. Hopefully I'm wrong though.
I will never understand this. This crap about making a game more for the "general football fan" and leaving the sim guys out of the picture. I dont buy it. How hard is it to do both in a game? Like when i play NBA2K14 and in the sliders/settings, there is a choice for "simulation" which sets the game settings and sliders more towards it being a simulation. Why cant Madden do the same so it benefits all kinds of players? Make the game as close to real life as possible and if there are people that cant handle that, choose the settings that say "arcade". My God its not that hard...

The new Madden 15 trailer looks impressive, but so did the RG3 trailer a few months back. So to the guys at EA Sports: 'Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame on me.'

We don't want dramatic "new camera angles." We just want the real-life ones used on Sunday NFL broadcasts.

Simple.

I think this is the first year I'm truly just holding back, even as a Panthers fan seeing that commercial. I just feel like after so long the rage over how poor this game has been the last couple of years is really starting to come to head. They've got to get it right this year, or at least look like they're trying to do something outside of roster updates.

If the defense can't cover the TE this year out of the box the game is going back to the store. I'm so done with the enormous hype and terrible delivery.

And now we wait for E3.

You guys are all Debbie downers. Since Madden 12, every game has been fun and they keep being better. Combine that with the jump to next gen (I held out on the first iteration) and Madden 15 should be awesome. Personally, I can't wait.

There comes a point where we have to realize that Madden is just "Madden". And until there are tangible, structural changes in EA's take on an NFL simulation we have to accept this fact. That doesn't make Madden a bad game, per se. It's not. I have personally enjoyed Madden on the X1. It's a solid game to me because I know what Madden is, and more importantly, what Madden isn't. I have been playing Madden for about 15 years now and I know what to expect when I drop 60$ on Madden. I don't bang my head against the wall anymore. I get my enjoyment out of it, then I move on...It is what it is.

That being said, the fact that defense was mentioned in the opening salvo is a pleasant surprise as that area hasn't been touched in what seems like 10 years. If the defense can come close to containing the offense this year then that's a win in my eyes.

All of that new stuff sounds nice, but for me, the biggest question Madden NFL 15 has to answer is whether or not auto-substitutions will finally work in franchise mode.

There's no point to having full rosters or even depth charts if none of your substitutes ever see the field until your starters have lost their stamina and been carted off the field with an injury.

For a Panther fan having Luke in the teaser trailer is nice. But as Madden fan of 20+ years. I'm not falling for it anymore. Madden 25 gameplay was a killer for me. AI int the ball like it has hands of glue and Moving down the field on offense against the AI was a headache. The fun has been taken out of Madden for me now. The AI is just to god like on D and offense this year. If they lower the int ratio of int the AI gets and put more batting down the ball animations into the game this year. Then maybe the fun might come back. But the ball hawk AI crap is way over done in my opinion. But I'm leaving EA a little hope for a good game this year. Having pregame and halftime shows is nice and good graphics. But if gameplay on both D and O ain't balance out to where the AI ain't mugging my WRs and TEs from start to finish. Then game is not playable for me and it ain't fun no more. Hoping right now tho.

Just had a sneaky suspicion if the Seahawks won the SB, the defensive changes being worked on at the time would be marketed/hyped along with the Seahawks. They go hand in hand.

Not surprise if it is. But hoping a little that the DBs running the WRs routes days are over. I'm so sick of the AI running step for step the WR route and mugging my WRs 75% of the time. It's plain annoying.

Dammit why did it have to be LK59? Now even I am hyped. SMH

Is it just me or was the super-speed head turn really creepy....

I doubt the game will look like this only because it didn't say real game render or anything like that to prove it was real.

Except when they are covering a TE lol and have the CPU QB quit spamming the TE all game please

Okay, IGN - you can't just say that to sports gamers without clarifying that "ESPN" refers to the in-game broadcast presentation and not something like ESPN radio integration in the menus. Because the former is something a lot of people would really like to see, particularly given NCAA Football's demise, and the latter is entirely 'meh' lol.

One more thing I want more information on, I suppose.
