If people on here are weird and annoying and "to" positive, why are you bothering to comment to them? Shouldn't you have better things to do with your time than whip up a bunch of posters on a forum that you're supposedly superior to?

Sorry, that's what I get for stopping to comment while reading through a thread. If a mod wants to delete my comment to the troll, that would be cool.

Hockey does it. & I think it's E 10+

MLB won't allow it.

Moreso than the player models, it's the lighting that jumped out at me as being an obvious upgrade.
its so much more vibrant and realistic.
Wow, I cant imagine what the dusk lighting will look like.
Or a 4pm game in Fenway.

For example Marlins Park and Rogers Centre should both be closed and not open if they had to choose just one. First of all both of those roofs are closed maybe 90% of the time throughout the season and most importantly I can't believe its actually possible to play in those parks with the roof open while it rains! Marlins Park was actually specifically built with a roof because of the Miami rain all summer long... but in the show it rains at Marlins park with the roof open?

Hate to rag on The Show but that really seems like a strange oversight.

You can't close a roof which doesn't exist. Regarding the Marlins, just pretend the motor which closes the roof is broken and Loria is too cheap to buy a new motor.

I understand the frustration but they couldn't get it done this year.

Mr. Russell, I have a few questions regarding this interview.

What is the minimum amount of human players for an online franchise?

In the situation mode, you are allowed to create any scenario that you can imagine but does the mode allow us to use custom rosters?

Thank you.

Thank you for the answer. I thought I read that somewhere but did not know if that was posted before or after this interview was recorded. Good news.

Read back a bit, Russell clarified it. 6 teams minimum, at least one of them human.

Hello Mr. Russell I was very curious on something. This game is getting so much talk for a sports game which makes me wonder about all the baseball companies out there like evoshield, rawlings, mizuno, akadema, Adidas, and so on. Now if you wanted to put brands in the games for the future, do y'all have to pay out of pocket to put their stuff in the game or say since people are legit buying PS4's just for this game (guilty as charged haha) those companies are seeing how crazy popular this franchise is getting and how many people want this game that they may take the other step and say hey Mr. Russell and team at San Diego studios, we see a great product here that people are loving and we want our products in your game. So then does that waive the fees if they do that or is it not that simple? I was just curious how that works.

Thanks

Max

SCEA has to pay each individual company for each individual item used in The Show.
So one payment (or contract agreement) to Nike for undershirts and a separate payment for Nike wrist bands.
One payment to UA for shoes and one separate payment for UA gloves.

And so on.

So far, all we have is Nike undershirts.

Oh ok thanks for clarifying that Curahe. So of course this would be a licensing agreement, but could the company see how popular this game is going to be and how popular it will be in the future and pretty much give SCEA a cheap price on the products or maybe do a bundle of products at a certain price... kind of like a costco deal haha? Or is it still each individual product from UA, Nike, Rawlings, etc. that needs to have each and every product accounted for on the game and no packaged product deals...?

# 156 Curahee @ 03/25/14 02:20 PM
Lets not forget that its also possible that those companies have exclusive agreements with other companies and cant be featured in other games.

Im not saying this is the case, Im just saying, for all we know, its possible.

SDS would be wise to hold out a bit longer and CHARGE Nike, Rawlings, UA et al to promote their product in the Show.

See this is what I was thinking because this is the only legit baseball game on next gen and current gen and most likely will be the best baseball game ever made. So my thinking was that soon these companies will see how much of a demand this game is ( gamestop near me is sold out of preorders all ready for this game) and want to jump on board to put their product lines in the show.

So whats the point of having all those spring training/minor league BPs included apart from "visual satisfaction" wouldn't like 4 or 5 of each be enough as well if you take that out of consideration? dont get me wrong I like to have as many of those BP included as possible but MLB stadiums would also come first for me. anyways thats personal preference I suppose.

I may not and do not agree with almost all the opinions of the people feeling let down right now (I'm loving what I'm seeing, by the way), but it's distressing to see some of these newcomers get jumped all over by some OS vets because someone is let down with a feature not getting in, or a screenshot not being what they'd expected, etc.

There are some trolls here, sure. But some posters are getting jumped all over for being underwhelmed and that sort of undermines the spirit of OS, if you ask me.
Thank you for that post, I got exactly the same feeling lately. I think this is nowhere happening as much on the here as it is in the The Show section of the OS.
