I'm having issues with restarts -- that is where the AI just plows me. I am on the gas 100% and AI seems like it has a turbo boost!

Try to ease into the gas. You maybe spinning wheel. I was doing that at Daytona and got ran over before the line every time

A big hint on restarts: Don't hit the gas until the screen says 'go'.. if you time it correctly you will not spin your tires and stand a decent chance of picking up some spots.

Yeah, it is fine now. Must've just been something that happened that one time.

Anyway, some more impressions/experiences.

1. The draft/pack racing effect appears to be too strong on non-plate tracks such that packs of cars easily run down single cars. It is near impossible to catch up to a pack of 3+ cars while single cars or pairs of cars can be relatively easily caught.

2. Default setups for Martinsville appears to be totally broken. Running 20% race 55% AI difficulty 2x fuel/tires I qualified 5th, but got completely obliterated during the race. My car was extremely loose and I couldn't keep up with anyone and was just getting blown away. Finished 43rd 16 laps down (42nd was 6 laps down) though I kind of gave up in the last 10 laps.

3. There appears to be a bug with the pit stop animations on some tracks. I will be in the race view until shortly before my stall then ithe camera suddenly stops following my car some distance before my pit and I see my car continuing into its pit stall then hear the pit stop sound effects and once the stop is created it goes back to the in-car view as my car exits its stall until it reaches the exit line then it goes back to my in-race view. I'll try to make a video later.

4. AI pit windows are far too wide and unrealistic. Ran a 20% (80 lap) race at RIR with 55% AI, 2x fuel/tires and a few cars started pitting between laps 20-25 while most cars pitted around lap 40, but several cars didn't pit until around lap 75. This apparently also caused the scoring to go a bit haywire as during the last couple laps it kept switching between me being on the lead lap and 1 lap down. Additionally then the checkered flag waved literally 1 second after the white flag. It initially said I finished 5th, but once I got the end-of-race screen it said I was 23rd.

I really have no clue, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Bob would problem know better than anyone.

@drumtrailx Hey Eric, not at release no. MS/Sony have strict windows between release and digital. We'll have more on that in the future.

After some more investigation, it appears to be entirely random rather that onlhy on specific tracks

I noticed a bug in the control settings where I made some changes to my senstitvities but when I tried to restore them back to defaults my changes still remained. I have the PS3 version.

Another bug I just noticed. The race lengths for the Darlington and Spring Kansas races are reversed. At 20% race length Darlington is only 53 laps when it should be 73 while Kansas is 73 laps when it should be 53. It's like they switched the tracks but not the other race details. Especially since it still says "Mothers Day weekend" at the Darlington race despite it being in early April as opposed to May.

Online is not any better in this game then it was in the last game. Still all sorts of bugs and glitches. To me it doesn't look like they improved anything with the online except adding leagues. I thought that they would do something to at least make it more stable or something, but nope it still is bad.

Not surprising -- it's like that review said, basically a "cut and paste" of the prior game with a roster update and some minor changes.

Now that I think about it, I think it's worse. At the plate tracks sometimes I try to get up behind a car and when I get into about 2 or 3 car lengths they pull way ahead of me all of a sudden. It looks just like I was bump drafting the car in front but I wasn't even close to it. Then I start getting closer and it happens again. The strange thing is it will only happen with one car and the rest of them in the race I am fine with.

That just happened to me at Pocono. BTW... did you guys know Pocono is now like a restrictor plate race where the pack runs two sometimes three wide all race in a big pack?? Anyways, I got punted bigtime off the start after qualifying 15th. Ended up running in the back of the pack, 43rd all race because the AI cars were all drafting, and I was drafting with the 42nd place car, but I'd get close enough, then just fall back and they'd pull away. I ended up finishing 41st though, because the two cars in front of me had a rather hilarious brake check momment coming out of 4...err.. 3 and i flew past them. Hilarious.

After that, I raced Michigan. Greg Biffle ran the entire race distance (10%) without pitting with fuel at 3x. Everyone else pitted twice. Awesome job. Pretty pathetic actually.

I can honestly say, Im really starting to lean towards the fact this game is worse than last years. That's pretty bad considering it's pretty much a copy/paste. Apparently the only way to play it is with fuel and tire wear completely off.

Im afraid to say, it may be time for these guys to consider closing the garage doors.

Bug after bug, after bug for me tonight...

Lead the final 9 laps of the race at Kansas... won the race, did my burnout, watched Gordon get out of the car and celebrate... Results have me finishing in second.

How can they not get this right?

Those are the bugs that genuinely drive me nuts. I don't know how they don't catch that before release.

I like the game. It has been fun but frustrating at the same time. I won the first 3 races and since then have struggled. The short tracks have been brutal for me. I get pole most of the time but always end up losing it. I can't hold lines and even with the difficulty being at 5 percent i still lose. Lol. I have had issues with it freezing and if i ever put it fails and i just sit there as the race continues. I do have a question though for you nascar guys. How do you improve the sponsor relationship in the game? I have two right now and they are not moving, Heck one of them went down after last race where i finished 33 after leading 20 of the 25 laps at Martinsville. They caught up and caused me to hit the wall and then the aggressive AI turned me around in the corner and i lost it all.
