The NBA Live 14 demo is available now on the PlayStation Store. You can also queue it up on the official PlayStation app (iOS, Android).

Below are some of the details for the NBA Live 14 demo, read more about it here.

Tip-Off - Play a full game with the following teams:

Cleveland Cavaliers
Oklahoma City Thunder
New York Knicks
Golden State Warriors

Offline head to head matchups
One of five BIG Moments
Live Ultimate Team

Throughout the season, CourtQ and Synergy Sports will update the rosters, ratings and tendencies of all available teams and players in the demo.

I'm a guy that defended Live 10 and felt it was better than 2K10. My dream was that EA could build off that game and that didn't happen. I always wish that 2K had Live arena atmosphere and sounds. That's the biggest sore spot for the NBA 2K series. I have no idea how folks can defend this Live 14. We have to continue blasting EA over this garbage of a game in order to motivate them to try harder. Why aren't they hearing fans when we tell them to look at Live 10 and understand what they did right?

Stop telling EA ton build off live 10!!!! MIKE has control over live10!! MIKE was the head designer for live10!!!! When mike left he took the coding's to the core gameplay engine. EA was left with just the presentation, art, and other garbage.....THEY cant get the old live 10 function of the game back because it was taken awayyyy!!!!

Easy Kemosabe. Easy! I know who Mike Wang is and what he did for that game. Him leaving back to 2K was a dagger to EA. So as far as the gameplay goes in regards to coding the movement and gameplay that it's all owned by Mike Wang?

In all honesty the game isnt bad, downloaded the demo earlier today. Is it worth 60? probably not, but not awful

Got the X1 today and I tried the demo. I already knew what I was going to get from the game and just went in to play for fun. There's nothing I can say about the game that hasn't already been said. Just needs a lot work all over.

However, it actually took me back, for a moment, to the old days of playing LIVE. As a veteran fan, I really hope they can get their stuff together.

Its a frustrating game, at times I have a blast then like 2 mins later I get frustrated at it. I really hope they do improve on it, when it plays good it is fun

I couldn't even finish a quarter, couldn't do it. Is it just me or is the ESPN camera way too far away? It feels like I'm controlling the action from the cheap seats, I can't play like that. They need to let you change the camera in the demo, it does no favors to the game at all. Except for the dribbling the animations and shooting are not smooth. In 2K you can feel the shooting motion, you can't in this game, it jumps right into the release. Wow, I don't know...one thing I do like is the instant replay button which is very cool. I would give the gameplay from the demo like 3/10, very sad.

You don't like the game because:

A. You are biased to 2K and are playing it like it is 2K
B. You don't know real basketball
C. You just hate EA

Also interesting to read what Obrien said about the last successful (review score wise) release the series had.

From an interview with Digital Trends Adam Rosenberg:

Series veteran Sean O�Brien is back as executive producer, and he knows very well the legacy that he and his team are butting up against. �When I worked on NBA Live 10, I feel like we made a pretty good game but our technology was ****,� he tells Digital Trends. �So we were in a position where we were trying to re-write stuff and then stuff happened [that led to the subsequent game's cancellation], but right now I feel really good knowing how much we�ve accomplished in the last 2-3 months.�

Once again as a seasoned live player whos very familiar with "the Live Way", i like this game. It could be a little better, but its solid in its basketball principles.

glad you enjoyed it like myself. very frustrating at first but it got better once I learned the controls a little. still a lot to learn though lol #WeAreLive

the cameras are not good, but did you take time to learn the game?

They moved the camera closer in the demo now, I swear they just did today.

After playing the demo more I went on and bought it. I have more fun with this game because of the spacing. Graphics growing on me, too.
