NBA 2K14 News Post

Here's some gameplay video posted by Bug (@Weezyy_F_Baby) of the final moments of some first half gameplay between the Thunder and Bulls -- you also get a peak at the halftime show in NBA 2K14 next gen. At one point, you see Derrick Rose being interviewed as he walks off of the court.

What do you guys think?

Half-time interview....at work so I can't listen. What's the audio there? Or is it the announcers talking while the cinematic is taking place?

She asked Rose how it felt to finally return from injury. He said something along the lines about being happy to be back on the court with his teammates.

I like the addition. I just thought that Doris burke's avatar got no love.

Can't get any feel for the game from that view.

Does anybody walk the ball up the court anymore? Or play from the Beluba cam, that makes the game look REAL.

THAT WAS DROSE! Real Player voices.

With that said, 2K is excited to unveil the all-new Eco-Motion Engine for NBA 2K14 on PS4. With Eco-Motion, the entire NBA experience comes to life in ways never before seen in a video game, including crowd reactions, atmosphere, coaching strategies, real player voices, and most of all the emotion of the game.

I love what I see but now my hype meter went down a little bit for the game. The way they were playing kinda put a sour taste in my mouth. I love the graphics and the fluidity as well as the foot planting. I love the concept of the half time interview but if you're going to incorporate it do it the right way and not the way they did it. It seem so fake. And around 45 secs in the video when the crowd was chanting defense I was hoping the crowd was actually showing some action and not all sitting down doing nothing. Idk just me but I love what I see. Good to finally see some game play

There was audio and it was Rose's voice. I wonder how many guys voices they actually have.

Good enough, her *** needs to be replaced next year anyway by Craig Sager's bad suits for that TNT presentation lol

So glad to finally see ACTUAL gameplay!

Likes:
-Game was physical.
-Players had weight to them.
-Derrick Rose's real voice was recorded and used.
-Game looks clean. That OKC background with the lightning before the start of the 3rd quarter was very cool.

Dislikes:
-Left-hand putbacks/layups/shots. 2 in a row by Boozer and Noah.
-Although the halftime interview with Doris Burke was nice, I was REALLY hoping for a full halftime show. Maybe it's included in the Association mode?
-Jeremy Lamb = CPU beast. What's up with team and player tendencies??
-Didn't see much off the ball movement by OKC. Will have to watch again.

Well it's better than not having it, can't be perfect the first time around right? This is the 1st sports game with it since what, Nfl 2k5? lol
An In an exhibition game though? I'm glad they weren't cause 2k had a problem in 2k11, 2k12, and 2k13 with the crowd being hype at the beginning of unimportant games.

Thanks Bugs for that vid! Looks awesome. I loved the Boozer and Hinrich J's. Looked great and incredibly realistic!

If my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, dude kept leaving Lamb open and the cpu found him nearly everytime, It's nice to see it'll attack like that even on pro-default.

Btw, I was hoping for a halftime show as well, but I'll let it pass till 2k15 since we at least got interviews with real voices which I wasn't expecting AT ALL.

Interviews. Sold, lol...

Hopefully it's like I'm guessing and they can just load audio clips.
As in they don't have to bring all players in to record, they can literally either chop audio from broadcasts or NBA clips...

They added new commentary dialouge in current gen, so I'm guessing next gen would expand on that...

Watched it again.
The CPU off the ball movement was fine.

Minor gripe was players legs flailing on every jumpshot.

Yep, dude left Lamb a clean look at the basket almost every single time down the court. I commend the computer attacking that. The AI seemed a lot smarter against the user. Beautiful.

Gotta admit, I was a bit skeptical of the contextual jumpers, I'm sold now that I've seen it though.
