Madden NFL 25 News Post



Madden NFL 25 Title Update #2 is available now for PS3 and 360 users. Below is a more detailed list of fixes, provided by EASPORTS_AJ, which were not included in the blog posted yesterday.

General
  • Improved stability in all game modes.
  • Fixed various menu and UI bugs.
  • Fixed an issue with Gameface, which made the eyes render gray.
Gameplay
  • Tuned in-game injuries, which were occurring too frequently in some cases.
  • Improved an issue where the game ran slow in some cases on PS3.
  • Tuned an issue where players with a high Catch In Traffic rating were still dropping too many passes when they were hit after a catch.
  • Tuned pull blocking on the offensive line.
  • Tuned down broken tackles while using the truck stick.
  • Fixed an issue with toss/sweep plays when the game speed is set to Slow.
  • Tuned a defensive blitz when using 4-3 Stack: Thunder Smoke.
Ultimate Team
  • Fixed an issue where offline users who earned a Gold in a Skill Tutorial would not receive the content within MUT.
  • Fixed an issue where the user would be credited with a LOSS in the History Panel instead of a WIN when the user’s opponent quits the game.
  • Fixed an issue with Solo Challenges awarding players a win without finishing the game.
Connected Franchise
  • Fixed an issue where users would get kicked from the servers while advancing their franchise.
  • Fixed an issue where some players from an Imported Draft Class would not have facemasks.
  • Tuned ratings for Imported Draft Classes. (They were coming in too low compared to their NCAA 14 ratings.)
  • Fixed an issue with importing custom rosters where real NFL players have changed positions.
  • Fixed an issue with accelerated clock in CFM H2H games.
  • Fixed an issue where if a user created a new character in a CFM where they are the only member, other users couldn’t find/join the CFM.
  • Fixed an issue where the News Center would display the wrong player in the Draft Stories photo.
  • Fixed an exploit where users could make trades outside of week 8, when doing so from the web.
  • Improved depth chart philosophy so every player at a position is graded on the same player type.
  • Fixed an issue where the same draft storylines would appear in consecutive seasons.
  • Fixed an issue where the Vikings stadium overlay would show unrealistically low temperatures and heavy snow during the preseason.
  • Fixed an issue in Owner Mode when making scheme changes would reset after advancing the week.
  • Fixed an issue where toggles for Heat Seeker, Switch Assist and Ball Hawk would be OFF in game even though they were set to ON in the League Settings.
  • Fixed an issue with re-signing players.
  • Fixed an issue where the Goals tile would be locked in the Playoffs even when the team was still playing and achieving goals.
  • Fixed various incorrect records, names and dates in the NFL Records screen.
  • Fixed an issue where a user’s playbook would be changed when they started a CFM with a custom roster.
  • Fixed an issue where Owners were not notified when they made the Hall of Fame after retiring.
  • Fixed an issue preventing users from entering some passwords in Private CFMs.
  • Fixed an issue where CPU controlled teams were allowed to release injured players.
Madden Share
  • Fixed an issue where filters were not updating.
Presentation
  • Reinstated touchdown celebrations in all online game modes.
  • Improved the logic used to select the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Game.

The patch didnt change anything, waited like 2 months to get a small patch...

If I control all 32 teams in CFM do I have to draft and sign free agents for all of those teams? I want to mainly focus on controlling the Steelers.

no. you control everything or nothing for the other 31 teams.

finally played the game after the patch in play now as the saints vs the broncos,
was in the 4th with less the one minute left and going for the winning field goal on 4th down and the game just ended on me so that's a major bug....

lack of penalties compared to before....could be a fluke.....

and could be a fluke but manning had 450 yrds and broncos only rushed for like 16 yrds......

again the last 2 could be fluke, but the automaticly ending of game that's an issue due to patch though its only happened once so far

Game froze when I tried to use the depth chart in-game.

i wish i was as lucky as you and not have freezes.

im on xbox ive had freezes in the last 3 maddens. i havent installed patch 2 on m25 yet. ive had freezes in game mainly when going to the depth chart

it is isnt hardware, im not connected to internet, im offline franchise. its the software pure and simple.

Draft classes seem to have been fixed, but may have been overly tuned.
After scouting, I didn't find anyone who was higher than a "C" overall rating. With that being said, intangibles (such as speed, strength, etc.) are fixed. For example, while I could not find any O-linemen with blocking better than a "C", pretty much all of them had a strength rating of an "A" or "B".

Johnny Manziel came in to the Cardinals system as a 72 (was the 1st overall pick).
Marcus Mariota came in as a 68.
Other notable QBs from AJ McCarron to Teddy Bridgewater came in between 66 and 74.

I'll definitely be looking to tweaking some ratings and seeing what happens when I can!

did you restart your franchise or did you discover this from your existing franchise? I am just curious cause I am about to draft my first draft in my existing online franchise and I am hoping the patch fixes affect existing online franchises. Most importantly corrects the facemask issue.

This was on a newly made online franchise. I believe the patch will apply to existing franchises, though I'm not 100% sure. As far as I've seen, the facemask issue is fixed!

Thanks. Yes I have spoken to a few different people on different sites and it seems to be the consensus that the patch should work on existing online franchises. Especially online because they are located on the server. So fingers crossed!

Does the draft fix work for generated classes? I drafted a corner with 68 speed. Sure he was a 7th rounder, but he's still a division 1 corner.

had to restart my 32 team CFM twice...once because it never loaded all the players in the NFL and the second time because the free agents were messed up and a lot of them couldn't be hired due to the fact that it showed up as they not wanting anything for a salary, it was showing up as $0 and says invalid amount when you try to get them....both of these problems are post patch and never happened before

Yep, that is a heaping spoonful of EA baloney.

All the speed stuff (along with bench reps, cone drill, and all the other basic combine info) should be posted for all eligible draftees from the get go.

The reason EA chooses to make it something you have to spend scouting points on is due to the fact that they realize they have not made a game that accounts for true football strategy and speed still makes or breaks your team when it's all said and done. Essentially, it's a cop out.

What NFL team has ever drafted someone that turned out to be a bust because he wasn't as fast as they thought he was? C'mon man....

This happens when you have someone on IR that is not injured anymore. You should only IR someone if they have a season ending injury.

Auto-subs were not fixed.
Dont kow about the accel clock...mine works fine in offline. You must be talking about a problem w/the accel clock in online franchise?

You can fix the subbing with the right auto-subs and fatigue settings. I've always used a mix of different suggestions from guys like Jarodd, RG3MVP and Charter until I found a setup that I am comfortable with. So I've never really had any issues with guys not coming back into the game in the 4th quarter. But this is the assumption that you are playing offline. I don't know about online head to head.

This does not constitute fixed auto subs, it is merely a work around to keep players from disappearing entirely by the 4th quarter. Gee, what a bonus EA, do I really get to keep my starters in until the game is actually over? Auto subs are completely broken until such time EA decides/conjures up the ability to fix them.

Auto subs have not worked properly since M12. Been flat out broke since they started with the horrible CCM concept in M13.

Sadly, there are many gamers new to this series that don't even realize what it's like to play with fully functional auto subs. It's a great feature that has been sorely missed in CFM.

Finally getting around to playing post patch,and so far things are going pretty good.
I have read a few posts mentioning folks aren't seeing many injury's... so what I did was raised the injury slider to 65,and kept my fatigue slider at 65....and so far (not out of the 1st yet).....I've lost Le'veon Bell for 2 weeks with a torn shoulder labrum,and I've also lost Emmanuel Sanders for 8 weeks with a herniated disc....so not sure why folks are having issues with this.

I also plugged in the penalty sliders from page 8 in this thread,and have 3 penalties for me for 25 yards (2 holding calls,and 1 false start)....like I've mentioned,everything seems to be playing out much better for me,so all in all I'm pretty happy.

I think I might be done with M25. This game is so awful. Sad. Unless a Patch #3 comes out that actually fixes problems with this game...that'd be neat.
