Amazing graphics here. Can't wait to see what 2k can do with this series next-gen.

I can recall the amount of times I have paused my game, zoomed in on the crowd, THEN the armpits in disgust before turning off the game and then returning it to the store....

ZERO!

Lets critique the NBA stuff people, seriously these are some insane grasps in my opinion.....

Trailer was INSANE! As in "don't need a coffee to wake me up" insane!

Don't know why people are complaining about arm-pit hair like it has its own attribute or something

That's a pretty bold statement from Mike Wang about Durant's character model being "perfect". That MUST mean there's different wing spans in the game if it is to be true.

Or that there are skinny models at least.

You know, seems like most of the models have about the same amount of muscle definition, and they look different only in terms of skin color and sweat reflectivity. I do hope there are different levels of "ripped" and some players got the right body (like Iggy) in whatever pass fixed Durant's body as well.

Thanks that's what I thought the red effect was for, but that's sick the line is so blurred between real life and the game.

I know some people are going to reply but be smart. I'm not a fanboy of any bb game. I've owned 2k10-13. 2k facial animations and faces look spot on. But 2k overall is less detailed than nba live. Nba players in real life are tall lean and slender. Nba live nailed that! Maybe peopele are use to looking at body builder bodies from the 2k franchise. I"m tired of that. 2k next gen has not changed. Less veins or muscle definition. Why does everyone have huge arms and legs. What's with the imbalanced wingspan with height? Kevin Durant and Parsons is prime example of that. KD is slim as hell in real life with a long wingspan. Everyone legs look the same with less fidelity and detail. Again live nailed these fine details and crowds and net look like crap smh. Nba live still has me sold till more gameplay. People are overhyped because we haven't heard from next gen 2k since jun and nba live has yet to show other players besides kyrie. Once the gameplays with more players are involved we will know the real bb game.

This astounded me also.....then when it cuts to LeBron shouting you could immediately tell that it was game (not saying it was bad, just much more distinguishable).....

That said, can anyone say if the "game" LeBron at the beginning was CGI? If not, wow..... WOW! If so, then I am still wowed at the rest..... just curious I guess......

The main mention HAS to go to Harden. I jumped out of bed to replay that part over and over...... couldn't believe my eyes!

This post right here is the reason why I want this post from Beluba be on the first post...

Those saying it's only 5 seconds of gameplay footage, you may be missing a bit. Hint: LeBron. Look closer-
...yeah ok.... one can't help but wonder if that was just Ronnie's way of saying "it wasn't real LeBron for 100% of the beginning sequence" as opposed to "that's gameplay LeBron".....

If that makes sense?? Haha... sorry if it doesn't.... either way, the rest was INSANE anyway.....

VERY curious about the Durant model now that Mike's chimed in about that...... and it makes you wonder who else's have been fine tuned.....

Sorry, edited out the Live part.... haha.

I like the little subliminal statements they are making with the song selections lol. I wonder if Lebron is picking them himself.

Impressive trailer, but I'm more concerned with immersion. Will the character movements in-game mimic real life on and off-ball? Will players seem less robotic? Will 2k get rid off syncing, when 2 players are doing the exact same animation at the same time? Will playing against the cpu also feel less robotic?

Live has actually shown a tad bit more improvement in that regard in their trailers.

Have you seen the video game James trailer? You thought thought LBJ picking up the loose ball and Kobe sprinting after him was robotic? And not an improvement over what we've seen this gen?

That's just bizarro logic though. They wouldn't have to be "smart enough" not to release terrible work if they hadn't been doing terrible work for the last three years in the first place. And not seeing much of what they have done since shouldn't be the cause for optimism, but pessimism.

I mean would you rather eat at a solid Chinese restaurant that could stand improvement, or wait to eat at a closed Chinese restaurant that sports pretty pictures of food on the windows-- but has sounds of shrieking cats and dogs emanating from the kitchen?

EA does much more hyping than 2K, and consistently delivers on much less or doesn't deliver at all. For kicks I watched the original Elite 11 promos. Same hype we're getting now and it boggles my mind how any of those devs could have said what they said while knowing the game played and looked the way it did.

Anyway, I get that you'd like a big shift in basketball games, but stuff like "this just looks like PC with mods" then posting a post processed video that looks nothing like next-gen is seriously baffling.

LBJ scooping the loose ball is the best animation I've seen from 2k in the trailers. Other animations seem eerily similar to CG.

I like the Live animations I've seen, except the Kyrie finger roll which they didn't finish.

It's obviously way early at this point 5v5 will show everything.

Perhaps this is fair..... BUT maybe CG 2K has SOOOO many animations that it isn't such a horrible thing? Maybe they have sooooo many that they could port them over and the tiny moments between animations can make next gen and thus create such a smoother experience.....?

This is coming from someone who doesn't know much about gaming developing, but open to thoughts on this....

There was a gif showing it over and over. His fingers spread to scoop up the ball lol. And the animations of RayRay and Kobe trailing him were great also. It looks like there is even randomness to their arm swings. I really think once 2K starts to show of this game it will be like nothing we've seen. (Based on the teasers)
