The graphics don't even look like what we saw in the Game Informer article earlier this month, so we just need to wait for Monday and see what happens. I wouldn't expect to see full 11 on 11 gameplay clips until early November. I may be wrong, but under Andrew Wilson, marketing seems to be releasing a lot less video and information in advance.
I might be the only one that's noticing this or even cares, but the GLOVES are killing me! They've had these same Reebok gloves and solid glove options for the past few years. I don't want them to brag about how you can see every little detail and show off every little detail of outdated gloves! What would Phil Knight say with Nike being the NFL apparel rep? I've gotten on NCAA about helmets and cleats that have been missing in the game but I kind of sympathize for them because they're dealing with 120 teams and they at least try to stay current with the Uniform Store.... Madden has 32 teams so there is no excuse! It's the lack of attention to detail that annoys me and makes me feel that they don't care enough to get it right. When game like NBA 2k 14 are getting really high ratings year to year it's because they pay attention to their craft and continue to build on a great game even without a competitor. The funny thing is that they don't even have an exclusive liscense they just made EA quit until next gen like that will right the ship! The sadder part for me is that EA is very capable they just don't seem to care. FIFA is a very detail oriented game and apparently the gameplay is equal to the aesthetic look.... Get it right Madden this is the Next Generation and there's absolutely no excuse!
Can't tell much from the video, other than the fact that you can never tell much of anything from EA videos, has never been a good sign. Maybe they are clueless about how to edit a video, or maybe they are geniuses for knowing how to edit a video to show you nothing...
From what little I could see, it reminded me of my impressions that I got from the IGN live demo. Looked mostly the same as current gen, with a brief flash of brilliance that made you wish that the whole game looked like that.
In the case of this vid, it was pretty much a dead ringer for a current gen Madden, with the exception of the brief glimpse of AP turning and it looking how it would in real life, and the fact that even though most of the animations still looked the same, it seemed as though the rendering issue is no longer an issue, as the animations looked much smoother... just the same.
Wasn't a great first impression at E3 for me, and this isn't a great 2nd impression either. What will they do for an encore...?
"The feature set and core gameplay will be just about identical across generations, but one of the most fun things to watch for each and every year is how far the developers can push the graphics"
Pretty much just a graphics update from current gen to next gen?
I'm now seeing this....That's a video game? @_@ Looks ridiculously real, even if it is off screen. Wow. I mean I can see the name indicators, but it looks so much like actual human beings moving and reacting that I suspended the possibility of it being a video game. I don't think Madden will ever look like that. It's fan base is so diverse and they try to please all kinds of players. I think they're too afraid of making Madden as close to real football as possible, like FIFA, because people will complain about how this and that is too realistic.

Konami is easily the most underrated sports developer.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is incredible this year, and both of their baseball series are just as good, if not better, than MLB The Show.
Hate to be that guy but yeah....Im not impressed. Looks like the same game with slightly updated graphics. Looks nothing like what we saw earler. All of E3 must have been CGI for EA, not just NBA Live. I know it was a quick snippet of gameplay so I will reserve further judgement until Monday.
Of all the games that try to simulate thier real life counterpart, whether it be a War game , baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, fighting , racing or football game, EA tiburon does the worst job with innovation that translates into to game.
With that being said, it is really sad if they give us a product that is not a def upgrade graphically and gameplay wise. They will be really embarrassed when nba 2k14 comes out for the next gen

Maybe I'm reading it wrong
Well of course core gameplay.. its madden, what its gonna be backbreaker now. And this guy has only seen and heard about as much as we have he just made a article on existing information other than being tipped as for the monday night reveal..which was probably on facebook as well.
What I want to see on Monday: (Could care less about graphics, the basis of this generation was graphics and look where that got us....)
1. Real Gameplay- I, like many of you, am tired of this zoomed in close up replay with everything moving a million miles per hour. Just give us real gameplay, from the actual gameplay camera please.
2. UNIVERSAL LOCOMOTION- I need to see everyone on the field abiding by the same locomotion engine. EVERY PLAYER, either AI or human controlled and regardless of position, need to have foot planting, weight shifts, accurate accel/de-celeration, momentum, etc..
3. Animations, Animations, ANIMATIONS- One of the biggest problems with this generation is the animations being very wonky and out of place, and repetitive animations. With the power of these new systems EA should literally be able to re-write their entire animations library and add thousands more.
Animations should be broken up in categories in their library: (Something like this) The more animations we have, the more authentic and ORGANIC the game will look.
Penalties:
-Holding (30 Animations)
-Face mask (30 Animations)
-Pass Interference (50 Animations)
-Illegal Hands to the face (30 Animations)
-Clipping (30 Animations)
-etc,ect,etc
I think you guys get the point here, but this should be done for every scenario in the game and it NEEDS TO BE TIED TO RATINGS. EA needs to add so many more animations to their library and they need to play out correctly. If they can do this, and significantly build on their physics engine for tackling and "ball physics" Madden will finally begin to turn the corner.
Just for sake of an example this is probably what the library of animations look like for D-Line moves in Madden 25.
Really? So everyone is excited for a fresh new coat of paint and nothing more? Boy have our expectations bottomed out.
I honestly am expecting nothing but that from Madden next gen....
All I have to say is.... Remember madden 06, cuz that's what we will get. Full features tho?
Sure, but they aren't going to work.
I understand your lack of enthusiasm believe me, but this definitely won't be Madden 06. At the very very least it will be Madden 25 on current gen(which it really won't be because of additional features), which is worlds better than Madden 06.
For those that skipped Madden 25 on current gen, could have a nice experience.
Im excited because Im a videogame/sports game junkie, and Im getting a next gen console regardless, but my expectations couldnt be any lower. After seeing FIFA on nextgen, I really dont expect Madden xbox1 to be any different than on 360 also. I also dont believe a single thing that comes out of the devs' mouths. I get it, they try to market the heck out of their product, and they do a damn good job of it, but again, I doubt that they even believe the things they say regarding Madden and NFL authenticity.
I actually think this years Madden is the best there has ever been, and an upgrade in system cannot possibly fail, but we've all seen this movie many times before.
By this time 2005, i could have sworn that we already had a ton of gameplay vids of Madden 06 on 360, when people were already complaining about the radio announcer.
