not as far as not being not much of basketball videogame player..some of us really like to play the demo to see how it feels..perfect reason would be that they change the controls..why would i buy a game if i might not like the controls or the feeling to it..yea you can change the control layout but it throws the whole game of when its not played the way its suppose to be played...ppl want a demo so they can have time to feel the game and see if its worth buying, or worth paying full price for...just like alot of ppl is not going to even give the other company a chance because they havent been out in long time so ppl really going to want to play a demo first to see how it plays first..having this minds does not make you a non basketball videogame player..it makes you smart consumer who wants to spend their money on a good product!
This is the only reason I wanted the demo...work will have me busy till next Tuesday but a jump on the new controls would have been nice

A smart consumer? Lol. 2k sells about 4-5 million copies of 2K Basketball every year, At this point, a Demo doesn't mean much for an established game. Live on the other hand, is a game that hasn't been out in 4 years, so they need to prove themselves. As far as this generation, 2K really doesn't have to.
I'm not tripping. It's not like there will be a demo for anything next gen before it's release. I'll buy it, enjoy it, and buy the next gen too. Simple.
Demos are perfect way to pull fans in and set itself apart from Live early.. the ef were they thinking?
Are they the same ones that say they've preordered Live based off a few screenshots?
I get the disappointment over no demo at all, but some of the overreactions are ridiculous. If a 5min demo was going to sway you one way or the other and you refuse to take the game's previous releases into account, maybe you need to be a smart consumer and hold off purchasing.
I believe we all believe that they finished 2k14 for current gen within 3months AFTER 2K13..and have been working on next gen since .. whoever posted 25% CG vs. 75% NG I believe hit the nail on the head.
However if next gen DOESN'T have new classic teams, create a court/share,New accessories, etc things that they have "downgraded" for the current gen then EA will start ranting Darth Sidious!! "Once more the Sith will rule the galaxy..then we will have peace!"
I really cant fault 2k for putting all of their resources into the next Gen release, with Live back they have to come strong out the gate, no demo is a let down but i can give them a pass.

the over reactions here are becoming mind boggling.

yea that just shows some ppl make bad choices sometimes
Probably people who plan on buying current gen because they aren't jumping to next gen ASAP. If people don't care about current gen why are they in threads discussing the current gen demo?
Im sorry, I didnt intend to hurt your feelings. Im just excited.
This was to be expected. I am going to buy the game only because it's cheaper to buy both current and next gen than buying next gen alone. You guys in the US, who won't get this offer, are mad if you buy current gen. After seeing the recent influx of 2k14 gameplay vids, I don't see a point in buying it since it looks so similar to last years game. If we as consumers are going to get the best basketball Sim games in the next generation, NBA live needs to step up big time.
At the end of the day the demo doesn't matter. But communicating late like this is the equivalent to breaking your parents window and not saying anything about it till the last second.

Agreed. I would have liked to play a demo of the game but its not the end of the world. It was annoying that they were blatantly dodging the question. I think most of us got the hint and were just waiting for them to say so.
