sum of these 2k rating look good and bad like the good is paul cuz next season he has to prove he's the star of the team to become a 90, pau gasol ill stick with 80 79 78 cuz dude didnt seem to impress me last season and wasnt part of the Mike "no defense" d'antoni system even tho he tried, roy hibbert.......post game better be increased , evan and lopez just right

the bad, imma admit lebron can be called 99 by others but i c 97 in my opinion, anthony bennet ......jeez 2k every #1 pick gotta be good?, victor...... sure hes a guard and play D and possibly fast but that sound like a number 1 draft pick also compare how cody zeller got......i could see dude be like a hustle player like joakim noah.
but that's my opinion toward ratings on 2k
lets see what 2k say for other stars and other rookies rookies. going be crazy to see d rose and granger the same rating from before

He was 3rd in MVP voting and 4th in PER behind lebron, KD and CP3. He also went 4 games shooting 60 percent from the field while averging 40 points.(mostly jumpshots which makes it even more crazy).

For jr and wade you have points. but considering heat won again wade isnt going to be bumped too much. jr would be fine if they had a inconsistent sig skill. but yea
Melo is an efficient chucker. He chucked somewhat efficiently the first part of the year, then the second half he didn't, what would lead people to believe differently is that one week of good games he had.

It really surprises me that people still care about number ratings every year.

He actually got injured I believe against the lakers and messed up his shoulder he also tripped over his own feet and hurt himself(funny video) that's when his percentage went down. Once his knee was drained is when he started that "week of good games". Also a week of good games is actually long overdue considering curry got raised after his 54 point game against Knicks and kyrie being raised after dropping 19 I'm the fourth against OKC. Or Vucevic being raised after his one 22 rebounding game. And an effecient chucker isn't bad when yu see the alternatice( jr smith, monte, etc)

Once again these seem fine to me. I think the ratings are better this year. Bennett may be a bit high but not that bad.

Im sure if zeller was the 1st pick he would be 76 and bennet at 4 68-70

Anybody knows what rating hasheem thabeet was the year he was drafted?
He was a 57 OVR

I was aware of his injury, but he even disappeared in the playoffs. And only showed up for stretches of a game.

I think PG is right on point. But needs to be more consistent.

People are saying Paul George isn't 88 overall worthy?! You gotta be kidding me... I'm a diehard Pacer fan and I watch bro ball out every night. He has developed his offensive game (which you might have caught a glimpse during the ECF ) and his defense has always been there. Definitely worth an 88 and you might see that raise during the season. #PACERNATION

he needs to work on his mid range shot and be more consistent every game

Just out of curiosity , are these ratings based off their new Dynamic Roster system from last years performance or are these ratings given by the "2k Insider" and then to be changed by their new Dynamic roster once the season starts?

# 93 antixnette @ 09/12/13 08:25 PM
Bennett looks horrible in that picture. My goodness.

# 94 yungsta404 @ 09/12/13 08:28 PM
paul george wasnt consistent at all in the playoffs. half of those games in the ECF he disappeared.

# 95 nddot @ 09/12/13 08:39 PM
so they're really doing this whole player rating mess? like it's the important thing right now?
no dev insight about any game modes?
2 weeks before day release?

i'm confused by the way they're handling the whole marketing communication for 2k14

# 96 blues rocker @ 09/12/13 08:51 PM
76 is pretty good for Bennett. he's a pretty well-rounded scorer - he's got a good mid-range shot, a good 3-pt shot, and can score inside. 73-74 might be more accurate, but i can see him being worthy of 76-78 by the end of the season.

if all-defense Oladipo got a 76, then Bennett is no more of a stretch at 76,

Wow..Hibbert is freaking huge in comparison to TD. I knew the man was big but seeing them together really makes that abundantly clear..

You don't want of this. If defense is back, we're about to have some wars.

This is wrong. Indiana was 20th in offensive efficiency. Not great, but not near "last" as you stated.

Hibbert did have efficiency woes early, due to an injured wrist. But after he had it treated, he shot over 50% for over half of the season. He also started receiving treatment for his sports related asthma, and can now play more injuries. Injuries are a part of the game, but Hibbert has proven when that when his injuries and asthma are treated, he's a very effective scorer, especially considering he's one of the least assisted bigmen in the league

To be fair, Melo is really the only offense they have. Personally, I thought he played pretty solid against the Pacers. He just didn't have any help.
