And, besides 2k14, what's the point with some of other titles in promotion? Am I supposed to play watchdogs or assassin creed on 360 for some weeks (and maybe finish them) and then start again on xbox1 with some of the story already spoiled? Seriously?

You know what? Probably Microsoft will reach (or already did) agreements with major publishers (EA, Take2, etc) and retailers (amazon or gamestop) to go on with similar promotions (give back a game and get a new one at a symbolic price) in order to have most of used game copies in its stores or those of its business partners.
In other words they will change the mean (previously DRM) to achieve the same objective (control/limit the used games market)
I'm afraid I can't agree with you at all.
The whole thing about playing Watch Dogs or Creed until next gen coming and then starting over is a bad statement. Who is forcing you to buy Watch Dogs or Creed? You are. You don't need to buy it on current gen, especially if you are planning on buying a next gen system in November. Just wait til then and buy them.

With that statement then the whole "get the next gen version of 2K14 for $10" is an even better deal. If you feel you can't wait for next gen then you buy it now and for a small upgrade fee you get the upgraded version on next gen.

Not everyone is getting a next gen console the day it comes out. They are the ones watch dogs and creed on current gen is aimed at. We who are getting the next gen consoles can choose if we want to spend money on both or just wait til the next gen version.

Actually you're supposed to do whatever YOU want to do...they don't expect you to buy one on CG then buy it again on NG, that may be what they want but everybody has a choice....they are just giving people and option.

Don't see why it's a big deal really, CG NBA2k comes out Oct 2, next gen either comes out Nov 15, or 22nd according to which console you get. Thats a little over a month, for those that can't wait they have the option to get it on CG release then trade up with 10$ for

NG release and i'm sure the ones doing it have no problem with starting over all their games, saves or whatever. Me even though I think its a good deal i'm waiting for NG cause I want to experience it first there. I personally would hate starting over after playing a game so long so the decision is easy for me.

I am hoping that i'll be able to do something like this with Injustice and GTA cause by that time i'll be done with GTA and would love to have a deal like this to trade in 2 games to get a NG game for 9.99. Actually with this deal it's the way i'm getting GTA 5.

I dont see how people are saying this is a ripoff. If it weren't for this deal, people would be paying 120 for both

I essentially got Madden for $10 doing that Gamestop trade in deal for 2 games and get a new one for $10.

I plan on trading in Madden and probably GTA 5 (if I beat it in time) to get 2k14 for $10. So in essence I would have got the next gen version for $40 cheaper.

It's a good deal. Why is everyone assuming people are getting the Xbox One at launch? Some One's will be Xmas gift and some will not get their One until Dec. 12/31/13 is the deadline to trade in the game.
