Maybe someone else can confirm this, but I think the new patch nerfed the selection of actual footballs during games. Before there were Nike, UA, and Wilson ones depending upon the team, and now every game only uses the Wilson one from what I've seen.

The RB/WR PS3 stuck in mud glitch is still there on all speed settings except for normal.

Game does run a lot smother on PS3 now, though. Also with sliders I've got pass coverage vastly improved. AA base sliders for whoever cares. They still need one more gameplay patch to fix stuck in mud, ATK, and now the RG field goal block issue, among others, but I'm enjoying the game.

I still say they need to patch in a playoff for dynasty.

I started to create ODU like I have in past years just so I can hear Monarchs. But with the limit of jersey combinations and a few other presentation things I decided not to. Ever since I found out last September they were going to Foreman Field to scan the stadium I was excited. Now it's just annoying.

OS staff, can you host a link to the update file for the PS3 (and for Xbox 360 owners too)? I have a slower connection that takes several hours to download the update via my console. I deleted the 1.02 update because it seemed to cause five consecutive game freezes in my solo OD, so I want to try re-installing the update to fix the freezing.

This title update is a joke. No game play issues fixed. WOW it took us a month how to figure out how not to make face masks grey.. YIPPIE!

CPU defense is definitely playing much better on default all-american after the new patch. I'm back to loving the game again. The patch must have been sent to Madden because the Madden demo plays how this game is playing now IMO

Yea, they did SOMETHING to the defense but I cant pinpoint exactly what it is. I might have to readajust my sliders because I'm now throwing an unusual amount of ints. My pass coverage slider is set to 70 so I'm thinking that maybe the sliders are working better?

Dont know. Watching the replays, the CBs are definitely anticipating/jumping routes like its cool, and I'm noticing a smaller window in more cases than before when I'm trying to execute slant routes.

After the patch , nobody in my Online Dynasty could play their game. We had to delete and start over

Same in our OD.

What friggin nonsense. I guess they don't even test their patches to see the side effects.

It's just shoot and pray it all works out

Very happy they addressed the TD glitch. Grey helmets too.
One more patch to fix a couple of the gameplay issues and we have a game that can last me years, until everyone figures out all the legal crapppola

Just glad they fixed the grey facemask problem.

Previously he had thrown 9 TD's and 3 INT's through 6 games. It could have just been a bad game or a coincidence, but throws that I was making in pre-patch got picked off last night. It's definitely something to keep an eye on going forward.
Well, after last night a have to take some of this back. The CPU's D played pretty well against me, although my QB did have over 300 yards, but freaking Aaron Murray went 21-23 for almost 375 yards and 3 TDs. Maybe it was because he was hot or maybe it was a rivalry game or something (are UGA and Vandy rivals?), but whatever it was I couldn't stop him.

The pass coverage *is* simply better. I'm still playing games with much more in the way of interceptions and swatted balls. Hell, I'm actually *getting* swatted balls now.

The freeze glitch online is confirmed NOT fixed....online idiots can still freeze the game and force you to quit or wait them out.

Bang up job EA....a month plus to patch what?????
Just bracing for the hot mess that is sure to be M25 now.

Defense has been tweaked. The game plays very well online & offline after this patch. Defenders awareness is better, zone coverage is better & man coverage is better. More random inaccurate passes from the QBs, both human and AI.

I've enjoyed the game since day one. While defense has been a challenge since release, the recent patch has tightened coverage a bit. Again, many in this community will never be satisfied. Much of the criticism towards this game is blown way out of proportion.

Would you say that run defense has also improved, particularly block shedding?

Hahahahahaha!! Try NOT. I noticed last night that with the PS3 there are still big-time lags and choppiness, in fact I'd say it's even worse!

Typical EA release schedule:

Release = Untested beta version

Patch 1: Fixes stuff that should have been fixed before release if they had halfway competent QA

Patch 2: Fixes the new problems caused by Patch 1
Yes I've seen this twice in a row! Remember the no-huddle glitch from last year? They actually needed a patch to fix a glitch that a previous patch caused.

Patch 3: Doesn't actually do anything but makes us feel better.

Of the remaining bugs, about half are fixed and marketed as "new features" in NCAA 15.

With the overwhelming attention being pointed towards bad coverage AI, it is very disappointing there was nothing done to attempt improvement. In the situation that nothing can be done, EA should state this to avoid backlash and disappointment from supporters. In the situation that something can be done but the issue was avoided, then shame goes to EA. Either way, from the customer/product service standpoint, this was handled poorly.

It's EA Sports, Disappointment is #1 goal when it comes to patches. Been the same thing 4 years. If they can't fix the gameplay issues they are not going to tell anyone. They still have Christmas sales to think about.
