Madden NFL 25 News Post

(Images courtesy of OS members The Next Big Thing & mestevo)

Andrew Johnson, EA Sports Community Manager for Madden NFL 25 has stated via Twitter, that a fix for the vanishing players users are seeing in the demo (mostly PS3 users) is in Title Update #1. It is scheduled to release when the game arrives in stores on August 27th.

We are trying to confirm whether or not Season Ticket subscribers will get the patch before that date. If we get any other additional patch details today, we'll update this post.

UPDATE: Andrew just confirmed the title update will be available for Season Ticket subscribers.

What a terrible glitch to have in a game like this. Speaks volumes of EA's QA testing...

Its not like anybody holds them accountable for making this major mistakes. People eat this title up regardless of any controversy it ever creates. Outrage today, millions of dollars of revenue in a couple of days.

This is at it's core is a non-story.

That means they knew the issue would be in the demo and shipped it out like that anyway.

That to me is a bad decision and pure laziness, not really the type of press Madden needed when it seemed like it might be going in the right direction.

False

You're referring to patches, it is Sony's QA's job to approve patches for release.

They have NOTHING to do wit demos, this is all on EA.

Very true . All the glaring bugs in NCAA 14 demo were also on the game currently on the shelf.

If I was gonna get the ps3 version Id prolly wait a month till a patch. Be too risky. Historically speaking

Shoot a month isnt long enough man. Seems these days Madden isnt playable till around its 3rd or 4th patch in November.

Its funny it seems this invisible player crap has been going on for years, I just saw on youtube a video from Madden 09 that had this same problem in it, Not really sure if it was a PS3 or Xbox version though.

See this is whats wrong ... This is basically ripping off consumers.

What if there was no possible way to update to title #1? you dam fools.

Please NFL let other developers make ur games.
The problem is that people keep buying it so they'll continue to put out a flawed and subpar product until sales drop off.

Madden 13 was by far the glitchy-ist with the most freezes I've ever seen. It was absurd.

LOL Loved the "Do Over" glitch always seemed to happen in close games for me

This game just makes me laugh. EA sports has become the mickey mouse company of the industry. This just proves they do not test there products we do. I had a feeling they would toss this gen game out there and be like whatever and work on next gen more. Im so glad I'm waiting for the ps4 version.

It's quite a contradiction to call a company a mickey mouse company and then say that you will be buying a product from them. What makes you so sure the next gen version won't have it's own issues?

We can sit here and talk about how bad EA Sports is all thread long, the point is, if there were a 1000 people in this thread talking about it, about 900 of us are still getting the game. Complaining and laughing at how lazy EA is isn't going to do anything, it's obviously gotten us nowhere since 2007, if you want them to notice you, stop buying the game, otherwise, it's the same tape over again.

I hate that phrase "Earlier Build" They need to release their Demo's
way earlier... This would have been addressed before it went gold..
Lots of issues would be..

The best testers are the community..

I don't care what anyone says. EA knew this was a problem when this game went Gold. No way in hell can anyone make me believe that no one plays the game that they make/develop.

I'm scared as heck to find what other bugs that are going to show up come this Friday.

What makes you think that the same mickey mouse company that you say dont test thier games will be better on PS4?

The fact that stuff like this could even happen, whether it's a demo or not, speaks volumes to the lack of ambition these guys have had since monopolizing the football video game market. I played the demo for about 10 minutes and it's just the same old crap. Sorry EA, I'm done with you and your annual $60 screw job.

# 99 Goffs @ 08/19/13 10:56 AM
I just scoffed it off since this was just a demo but damn after hearing that there will be patch for it first day....goodness....

I always thought demos are a different build from the final....

>EA

lol nvm

Granted, not that many people actually will (the game doesn't sell that many copies) but about 1 in 5 people will be burned by this on the PS3 and that is unforgivable.
I hate to sound like some company man, but who the heck would want to buy a gaming system without internet access? It's the only way to enjoy the true potential of your Xbox 360 or PS3. As much as I wish every game would be released without bugs, I can be somewhat comforted that developers at least have the option to correct them through patches as long as they are released in a timely fashion. This is the reality of the gaming landscape. I understand that some people can't afford the cost of internet in their households. But if this is true, then they shouldn't be shelling out $60 for a video game in the first place.
