Just had Wilson hit rice wide open for a td. Wish I had replay to see what happened to my db. Was running cover 3 but showed blitz. Cb was just trailing and couldn't make the tackle.

Shields is getting beat like a drum.

Harvin just took a nice screen pass up the sideline. CPU AI is much improved.

I see why they removed rb sliders.

I know bro...the problem is that players such as Bowman and Willis will not progress as they should and will start regressing because they can't hit their tackle target simply because they need assisted tackles to reach 150 odd tackles...as in real life.

This is a sad day...

Was it Mason Crosby? If so, this game is pretty realistic...unfortunately...

Just finished 3rd game, all on all-pro. Won by 3 or more touchdowns each time (just did Seahawks vs Packers each time for consistency's sake).

First game, ran my usual power run game with lots of play action in the passing game. Passing feels nice and crisp; the CPU DBs don't have as good hands as last year, far as I can tell. I threw a pick six but overall seemed realistic. Other two games I tried to really open it up in the passing game and the coverage was pretty solid except if you make your reads you can get some good plays with your fast WRs. Didn't feel like I had to rely on throwing to the TE as much as I did last year. Swing passes were still ineffective as ever, it seemed (I remember about 7 years ago when they were so damn easy to get huge gains with).

Run blocking was pretty good for both sides, but I didn't see much running from the Packers after I got up a couple scores. LBs were fast at getting to the ballcarrier, so take that as you will. Pass rush seemed a bit hot coming in from the CPU, but whatever, they blitzed me a lot. Generally realistic tackling (Lynch can run over corners but not Clay Matthews) and a clean presentation.

NO FREEZES FOR ME. Hopefully that continues. No weird stats popping up, or weird injuries. Skill Trainer drills all worked just fine. The Precision running was a bit to get used to, but the stop and go is killer when you pull it off.

I already have the anniversary edition on pre-order from Amazon due to the amazing Sunday Ticket deal, and the game feels fun. I'll be happy if Owner mode is actually good and not just last year's "Connected Career-Coach" or whatever they called it, which was garbage.

TL;DR: Demo feels good; not a perfect showing but FAR from mediocre. 8/10, and I bet the release build is even better. Quite pleased, and ready for football season.

It's there stamina bar under the player so for every move you make the bar drains.

I love madden been playing it for a very long time like pre snap cameras don't matter much to me it's when you actually hike the ball were madden is lacking in some areas not all. For instance corner back wide receiver interaction has never been good or even close to realistic. Zone coverage had one good year on current gen madden 12. Offense was always there in madden they need to fix the D!

Played 2 games (me) Seahawks vs (cpu) Packers on All-Pro. My quick takeaways of what I've experienced so far.

Should have been given the option to change the camera angle. Ridiculously far away.

Player models are well done but, you only see this in replays because the camera is so far away.

Uniforms get pretty dirty.

Defensive pressure is still predominately from the offenses right side.

QBs aren't necessarily super accurate but the WRs get pretty wide open making most passes pretty easy. Rodgers is good but, Seattle's secondary looks pretty poor vs the Packers receivers which shouldn't be the case.

Rodgers completed over 80% both games. I forced one errant throw, separated the receiver from the ball a couple of times on hits, and picked him off 3 times. In other words, the ball doesn't hit the ground. Completion, drop, or interception. Those seem to be the outcomes.

You can break away better than in NCAA. If you juke someone they don't immediately flip around and tackle you. Had a nice left stick, foot plant change of direction speed burst that Sidney Rice took to the house. Looked really good. Beat the corner and the safety to the end zone.

Overall, I think it's going to take some slider tweaking to get the game to play well. It doesn't appear to be a major step forward at all. I don't know how old the build on the demo is but it honestly doesn't feel any farther along than the NCAA demo.

Don't know how much more I'll even play the demo. The camera angle just bugs me too much. And it feels pretty stale to be honest.

Can't wait to give it a go tonight!

Noticed there are less options under sliders now. Anyone know why they removed break tackles for running and block shedding for defense.

Just finished first game. Lost on all pro to seahawks thanks to that 68 yard TD pass to rice and not being able to stop lynch in 4th.

Game is fun. If you enjoyed madden 13 you will really enjoy this. There is improvement. Most noticeably for me was movement control and CPU AI. Like I said I did a lot of sliders last year and the default all pro the CPU needed a lot of help to not give you the game. For the rbs to even try avoid being tackle. Lynch was cutting back and hurdling and everything that we were struggling to get CPU RBs to do last year so that was nice to see.

Wilson 8/9 168
Rodgers 11/17 148

Lynch 18 for 104
Wilson 3 for 11
Lacy 3 for 11.

Red flag in the stats: Garvin has 8 pancakes. Rice 5. Lol.

4 assisted tackles.

No sacks.

The computer throws a lot of picks. Russel Wilson threw 4 one game and then kapernick threw 4 the next against me. Only 2 of the 8 were user picks.

Just part of the whole inconsistency the AI offense shows.

I do see a lot of new animations, considering I haven't bought these games in 3 iterations, it's interesting to see.

Game seems kinda glitchy maybe it a early build
The CPU likes to rocket catch
No halftime show
Feel like i have more control passing except when throwing on the run which penalizes you more than NCAA does
In the ravens vs 49ers game, everyone was fatigued the whole game
Kicking meter seemed to move faster
CBs seemed to just run with the Receivers and not try to make a play
I don't like what they did with the control lay out
Option plays seems better like they were in NCAA 08
Receivers are more aware of the ball than in NCAA 14

# 77 cgalligan @ 08/13/13 09:56 AM
Does the CPU complete 90% of their passes like they do in NCAA 14?

How is DBs having worse hands than in Madden 13 realistic? There were already way to many dropped interceptions last year compared to real life. Last year in the NFL there were only two QBs with 10 or more dropped interceptions, while the average was just under 5 (4,821). I've looked at every QB when calculating that, so looking only at QBs who played 16 games would probably make the number a bit higher. That being said, I am pretty certain that i have never gone through a season in Madden with less than 14 dropped INTs, both against my QB and for my defence.

CPU all pro kaep just started 8 for 8 for 92 yards. One rush for 12 yards. Davis already has 5 catches for 72.

Kick returns are really really fun.

Tried the typical throw after the jam on cover 2 and safety laid out Torrey smith and cb recovered and picked off the pass off the ground almost
