It's a special edition(NFL Sunday Ticket + MUT cards) that costs $100, they still have the vanilla copy for $60.

But if you already have been paying for ST, why wouldn't you just buy the Madden SE instead? Buy the SE and then sell Madden on eBay to even lessen your costs for ST. I'm considering doing that and I hate Madden.

I was actually going to get NCAA this year, but this deal was too much to ignore. I preordered.

Great minds think alike lol.

I'll also consider buying the Madden 25 Anniversary Edition for the NFL Sunday Ticket code, and I would probably just sell off the Madden 25 disc on eBay - to recoup some of the lost money.

Say I get home at 6pm then and I feel like watching the rest of a game on my ipad.

Will it let me use multiple devices, and how does it know it is me? Couldn't I give the code to a friend or family and they could use it also? I am hoping someone knows how this works. And for the record I don't have Direct TV nor do I want it, I just want the Sunday Ticket package to watch the games on my various devices.
It only lets one device be used at a time. Sometimes my mom uses my ST access to watch Cowboys games and when she does I can't get into my account if I want to watch, it just says the account is in use on another login and to log out of that device and then try again.

Why would you pay $99 for Madden to avoid paying $50 for ST? Even if you sold Madden for $50 on ebay you're just breaking even. After all, you can't sell SE for much more than that without the code probably. Unless perhaps you're hoping it becomes a genuine collectors edition and you can sell it on down the road, which is highly unlikely IMO.

However, if you already planned to buy and use both Madden and ST you will end up saving $10 by just buying Madden SE for $99 versus buying Madden regular for $59 and spending $50 for the ST.

I'm not, I'm saying that the Sunday Ticket Maxx, which allows you to watch the games on a tablet, PC, laptop, etc is a $50 add-on to the Ticket. For those of us like myself who already have DirecTV and are Ticket subscribers. That's essentially what everyone is purchasing since the coupon will not, at least as far as I know, let you just watch the Sunday Ticket directly on the TV.

Where are you getting that a current Directv customer gets Sunday Ticket? They get the ability to watch the games on computer or tablet device. Not the $200 TV package.

Sunday Ticket Max is $15 more a month for 5 months...thats $75, not $50

Ok, well maybe that's the official price but last year mine was $50 add-on is what DirecTV told me, then when I called and said I was dropping the entire Sunday ticket they gave it to me for free.. So the pricing on that stuff is somewhat variable..

It won't, but if you have a computer capable of running ST Maxx then you can plug it into any TV that has a digital input. Which is just about any high end TV made in the last 10 years and certainly any TV at all from the last 5.

It's interesting:

1. I wasn't impressed by Madden 13 particularly, and was not planning a purchase this cycle (especially given new Gen coming)

2. This deal has meant a pre-order automatically given my lack of DirecTV access otherwise (and being a displaced Pats fan).

True but most people won't do that...that is something I'd do though.

So if I already have Directv, will the code give me free access to NFL Sunday ticket? Or do you have to be a new subscriber?

If you already have DirecTV, it only gets you the Sunday Ticket Max.

You have to be a new subscriber.

anyone worried about stream quality? the ps3 app had a ton of problems

# 139 LaserRocketArm31 @ 07/08/13 02:24 PM
That is true the PS3 app is junk. Honestly it is pretty rare these days for a video streaming app to have many issues. The NFL Game Rewind and Pre Season live work perfectly fine. I sure hope it works well. If the other three major sports can get their apps to work seamlessly I would hope the NFL could too but they are so far behind in terms of tech in comparison to these other leagues and even miles behind the NHL. Let us hope they have upgraded their systems.

I have DirecTV, but it's under my wife's name. I didn't renew Sunday Ticket for a couple of different reasons- So if I buy the Anniversary Edition, will I be able to access the free Sunday Ticket? Or because I have DirecTV, it's pointless to buy it?

My thinking is - How will they know I have DirecTV or not? I could use a different email, a different address if I needed to. But I'm still not sure if I will screw myself out of $40+ if I get Anniversary Edition and not able to use the code.

Any other info on this?

If I could call DirecTV and talk them into giving my Sunday Ticket for free - I would pay the difference for Max, but I doubt I could swing that.
