Oh okay that's good news then.

based on what? the offense was overpowered last year and complimented the casual gamer. Im gonna guess they go the same route this year, why wouldnt they??

E3 will be a clearer indication.
Just found out that they should be elaborating more on how defense can counter run free on the next video they are making, IE2.
"Of course, after giving the ball carrier so many weapons we had to come up with ways to balance it out on defense. Infinity Engine 2 features the all-new Force Impact system and offers ways for the defense can counter the new running game. Stay tuned for the Infinity Engine 2 Producer Video."

Yeah I'd like to see how the defensive break down works in action. I wonder if the gang tackling as been improved as well? So far I haven't seen what the difference really is between Infinite Engine 1.0 and 2.0.

I'm also actually interested in seeing the "authentic officials" that was mentioned way back as well, lol. I wonder if that's going to be mentioned in any blogs?

When the hype, and discussing the hype is more fun than actually playing the game, why not take a few sips? Lol. I love this time of the year man. Been here a long time and I don't think I'll ever get tired of checking the info and the discussions here on OS. No matter how poor Madden has been, I've always looked forward to coming on here and seeing what's up.

Only change I've seen for physics is lack of limbs going all over the place. Of course by seeing things look like more of an impact. Have you seen the video with the gameplay footage? It shows off some of the impact of the tackles. I believe it was from a very early build because guys had half of their jersey numbers cut off and stuff.

Yeah I caught that footage before it was taken down. Definitely looked like the hits packed more force. Forgot about that footage for a second.

Yea that video was the opposite of this video. Offensive players were getting laid out.

Animations look terrible compared to any other sport game. Gahh it's infuriating!

Whew!!! I thought you were gonna say its a early build or something could be patched in later. Probably some of the top phrases that fly around here this time of year.

EA has to get these animation under control. We see all these Mo Cap videos everywhere....just who are they using? That back juke ( from 06) still looks weird.

I expect the game to be an improvement, but still spinning in the mudd when it comes to some aspects of the game.

Madden and NCAA are becoming more and more like arcade games.

I do like the killer block that came in at about 1:02. Also about 1:07 Butler looks like he was steering the defender out of the way.

Yea man they just need better running "form" for the foundation. It would make the game look more authentic. They have added more running animations but just not better running form. As a former track/football guy those running forms look like a dude with a backpack on tryna catch up to the bus he missed. They need to fix that. It's an eye sore. As for that back juke I think it's actually new, plus it's not the only one they have. I saw two in the video. The one the guy from the Redskins did was decent. But I'm patiently waiting for the next gen showcase May 21st. I really feel like they are going to show Madden. Hopefully the foundation of it looks significantly different.

Where is the demonstration of the running back awareness maneuver there were no inside runs in this video...or they couldn't get run free to work inside the tackles even with the game on rookie and the stats juiced up?

I'm also starting to wonder why they haven't showcased any of the new blocking at all. There's no playbook for it and they haven't even seemed to touch on it yet. Hopefully we'll get that soon, I care more about that then the 'Run-Free' stuff.

Blocking does not appeal to EA's target market - the casuals. The "hard core" Madden gamer is gonna dive into E3 videos, previews, and every little tidbit they can find - the casuals just watch these "promos" and that is who EA feels they have "market" to...
