Wow I just dk this year. Looks like stringing combos together is the new thing for madden. Looks very arcadey and super fast especially the spin moves. Defenders seem to fall flat on their face way too often when the ball carrier makes a move. Also i hate that 3 defenders can all get juked by one move at the same time. How many times on Sundays do you see a RB make a juke into a spin into another juke combo? Looks like they are going for a Backbreaker Tackle Alley kinda thing.

Don't think this is going to be a good year for the defense. Offense looks over powered with the new run free and precision passing. Gimmick gimmicks gimmicks just give us real football and the ability to play defense.

Where is the demonstration of the running back awareness maneuver there were no inside runs in this video...or they couldn't get run free to work inside the tackles even with the game on rookie and the stats juiced up?

I'm also starting to wonder why they haven't showcased any of the new blocking at all. There's no playbook for it and they haven't even seemed to touch on it yet. Hopefully we'll get that soon, I care more about that then the 'Run-Free' stuff.

Blocking does not appeal to EA's target market - the casuals. The "hard core" Madden gamer is gonna dive into E3 videos, previews, and every little tidbit they can find - the casuals just watch these "promos" and that is who EA feels they have "market" to...

I'm more disappointed with what's going on in the background. At least the running is more dynamic and human-like. Far from perfect but way better than anything I remember seeing from Madden. I see change.

The signature sticky, patty cake blocking quickly sapped any momentum. Until that's addressed, other things like disengaging from blocks and tackling will have to be minipulated to keep this from becoming the NFL Relays, especially with all these moves.

I did see some drive blocking on the Martin spin run. Is that new?

By the way, I think at the 1:08 mark the RB (Foster) actual uses the "avoidance" thing - it is quick and sort of obstructed, but it happens...
