Didn't notice. I also may have jumped the gun on this because on the EA forums someone made mention that maybe +7 was the Projected Cut. Gonna pay attention to this

I didn't make the cut with +5 when cut was +8. I was one of the first players on the course and when I finished my round the projected cut was +4. So it seems like the game compared my score to that +4 cut when there was like 60 players still playing.

Sounds good, regardless, I am not making the cut anytime soon. After three tries at q-tour school, +20, +11, +12.. UGH.

I can not get the hang on the diagonal swing, any tips?

Well I'm hitting fade with different "grip", I'm using my forefinger, middlefinger and thumb like I would be picking up the left stick. Then I rotate the controller a bit so I can "swing" vertically. However if I have to move the strike meter in Sim mode then I use the left thumb in normal way.

What to do, what to do??? My Amazon order has not shipped yet so should I cancel and wait for the patch or is it very much playable?

I can only speak from a few rounds with the demo on Sim, using Tiger so diagonal swing is 5:00 to 11:00. I wound up going left a lot, so I just moved the target arrow to the right a few screen inches (55" tv) and that helped to straighten things out. Not 100% mind you, but it certainly helped.

Understandable, Rules. But I'm still 100% in with my preorder. I'm confident any significant issues will get fixed. I'd be stunned if there's not a day 1 patch tomorrow as well.

Just had an issue last night where my golfer went back to wearing the default clothing. Not sure what caused it.

Rules. I am not canceling my order. I'm having a blast with this game.

Yes there are issues with parts of the game.....There is no issue with me being able to have fun with this game though.

I always get tons of replay value out of this game every year.

Also you would miss out on Bethpage Black DLC for free if you cancel.

I think a Day One patch was in the works, but since a number of other issues have cropped up, I think the Devs are aiming to wipe out as many bugs as possible with the initial patch instead of trying to do one quickie, then another more comprehensive one. There may still be one on Day One, but if there is, then there will likely be a 2nd more comprehensive patch soon after. Again, do not take this as official news from EA.....

Just found out from the EP of TW14 that they will be wiping the online stats once the patch is released, they are figuring out of they will do a complete wipe or remove the stats that are bugged. Also keep in mind that MS and Sony patches require certification and this process takes a minimum of 2 weeks from my experience. Rest assured they are working the issues as quickly as they can and if I had to guess, someone in QA who was in charge of this game is not feeling too good right now (deservedly so).....

Thanks for the impressions... You guys have saved me $70... Can't keep buying these broken games on the idea they'll be fixed. The worst part of this is they put broken games out, just believing they'll fix it as they go. I'm no longer going to do that. I can just wait and save the money...

Thanks for posting that, Divot.

I think we were all just surprised that there's any significant bugs this time, the last several TW games may have had a design issue or two we didn't like, but don't recall bugs that wiped any data or scoring snafus.

I agree...someone in QA is probably getting taken to the shed this week.

I think the cut bug is not really a bug. I have looked and it seems if you are T-Whatever SHOULD make the cut, you end up being cut because there are people ahead of you that are tied ahead of your score. Therefore, you are outside of the top 50 (atleast what I can tell)

This game is still fun, aggrivating on Sim. I have yet to shoot better than +8. Just can not make the cut at Q school.

My Amazon preorder is on the way, but I am pissed after reading all of these career mode bugs. I am enjoying the gameplay, but I just cannot understand how every damn sports game that comes out, is a bug riddled mess.

Did you order via release day delivery?

I don't have prime so I went with the free super saver, says shipment is being prepared.

I preordered through Amazon prime and its set to arrive tomorrow. However, I'm angry at all of the bugs being reported. I only play career mode and am still happy with TW13, so I may not even open it. I'm also not pleased with the removal of the true aim camera.

Actually, when I list all my gripes out like this, I never should have bought it.

Man, these bugs are HEARTBREAKING! I've been looking forward to this game for a while, especially with the addition of Muirfield Village and the Legends, but the career mode scoring bug and the putting being so badly nerfed are making me consider just sticking with TW13 until or if even, these issues are patched. Like a kick in the sack :/

yeah nerfing the putting and the green speeds make no freaking sense, especially with the sim difficulty added this year to try to increase realism/difficulty, and then to nerf these 2 areas? mind boggling

Agreed, if it ain't broke, DON'T fix it!!! It seemed almost impossible to blow a putt by on the Season Ticket version.

Sucks to hear about these bugs. The season ticket did enough to make me want to buy it this year, so i put in a last minute pre-order Sunday afternoon.

Bit upset now though to come home, pop on the season ticket release, but I cant get in and play because it says the EA servers are down..

Anyone else having a problem? I thought the season ticket releases usually lasted through Monday too?

Edit: Nevermind, after 15 minutes of trying, it just let me connect.
