And no, you were not "attacked".
because at this point, you are not making a point, you are making fun of people and a group. I didnt see you backing up your statements, just calling a group out in a rude way. And it wasnt good natured so it can only be taken as trolling

Backing up my statements that Jays fan(s) complained they were only #5? I don't have to, it's in this very thread.

No making a counter argument against or stating your opinion and letting other have theres. Im not sure how Jays fans are "laughable" "absurd" or implying they know nothing because of their opinion differs is attacking and not helpful to the thread. We get you dont agree but why call them out after it died? I think this year has been one of the worst on here. I cant blame it all on number ratings being added, but it was predicted

Never once did I state or imply that Jays fans or anyone knew nothing. I did find it absurd that they thought being top 5 was too low for a team coming off 73 wins. They added some pieces to the puzzle, but lets stay near reality. Top 5, means you are rated very very high.

And I have never disagreed and have had the comment directed at me, so I guess I dont understand. And you werent the only person...and all those things were said

And reality in a video game? the digital version of these teams is not identical to the real life parts, so to say its not reality..no crap...we dont even know the formula, it is what the team is on paper and digital teams dont have to prove themselves.

I guess I am missing your point, other than fans of your favorite team because of their actions were put in a bad light on an internet forum.

Like I've said many times, it wasn't the 2012 Jays who finished with 73 wins, it was the Vegas AAA team that finished with 73 wins since majority of Jays roster was injured for most of season.

While we'll have to wait until September to see if Jays are top 5 team, ON PAPER, they're a team around top 5. The actual 2012 Jays roster(the one with a healthy Bautista,JP,Lawrie,Morrow among others) was ON PAPER supposed to be a team around the 10th spot in the league.

If the Jays had a healthy 2012 roster and Bautista,Lawrie,JP played 140+ games each and their rotation had 3-4 pitchers who each had 25+ starts, and they finished with 73 wins, then I'd agree that 5th place even after all those moves, would be way too high for Jays, but that wasn't the case.

Saying they are a top 5 team on paper, is a stretch, to say the very least. But I get it. However that's not the point, Jays fan complaining it's too low? I mean I know Jays fans are excited, and I know that team has been a complete non factor for 20 years almost, but come on. Is it that hard to stay a little bit grounded?

In a video game? I think team errors and field % is a good indicator.

Well, if that was the case then technically that would make him a better hitter lol. Better pkayer? No. Better hitter? Yes. Good try though. Besides, team errors and team field % are very important imo

I guess thats whats behind this, people value stats differently. And no one is wrong because they are giving an opinion. And we still dont know what stats and what percentage SCEA values to make their ratings

Not gonna read 34 pages but the ratings are a real head scratcher.

Also dont understand how Rays are 15th and Arizona is 14th considering

Arizona are 8 places higher in hitting
Rays are 10 places higher in pitching
Rays are 13 places higher in defence

So overall Rays 14 places higher than arizona...but are 1 place behind them in overall rankings?

The overall rating seems to take hitting into account more that pitching or defense. Look at the Tigers. It makes sense if you take that into account that Arizona is rated higher in hitting. Maybe not to you, but to the game it makes sense.

Wow - Giants get no love. That's okay, they'll be sitting there polishing their rings in the shadow of their two recent World Championship trophies while the Yankees and Braves pound their chest about their ratings.... LoL

This right here. Chemistry is HUGE in baseball. I've been watching a looooong time (I'm old) and I don't know if I've ever seen a team with the kind of chemistry the Giants had last year. Maybe the '79 Pirates.

Glad to see three teams below the Cubs!

# 317 R0ver @ 02/25/13 04:05 PM
Looks like power once again is a huge factor in player overall ratings, Mike Napoli and Jarrod Saltalamacchia, both low contact, below average fielders have ratings of 89 and 82, respectively.

How are the Red Sox at 3??

# 319 johnnyg83 @ 02/25/13 09:56 PM
How can the White Sox be last in fielding ratings? They had the best fielding percentage and fewest errors in the American League last year. And not a single significant defensive stat in the bottom third.

Actually Chemistry means very little in baseball. Sure it helps, but nothing compared to NHL, NBA, or NFL. MLB teams have whole new rosters every 2-3 years anyways. Giants just played well at that right time, simple as that. There was nothing magical about it.
