Gold Glove winners do seem a little better this year; as in, 3/4 of the top 3's in every AL category weren't always from the Orioles and the Red Sox. LOL! I saw a handful of categories over my time at CD that didn't even have an "alphabetized" representative.

That said, I still saw this a little bit of it, here and there, throughout my various sims, though not as bad as in 12 and prior.

I think the system uses alphabetizing to break up the players that are tied in each of their respective catagories. I'd have to ask Ramone to get a definite on that, but I'm fairly certain that this is how it works but I could be wrong.

Can someone please say if they added an awards tracker to individual player cards, and redid the gold glove awards. It seemed like in the past players received gold gloves based on team alphabetical order. Like have UZR, ZR, and RF determine who get's the gold gloves, rather than the generic fielding percentage. It seems small, but a feature I think has been overlooked.

And of course, it's still available as an option. You can even have a two-tone bat with no ring, like some players have.

Has there been any info on additional franchise commentary and overlays? Additional commentary based on the context of ones franchise can significantly improve the experience.
I'm actually a bit surprised they had such a focus on scouting.. Was this something the community had been pushing for?
Personally I'd prefer the option to import a draft class, especially when we spend countless hours replacing all the fake players in the game.

That is incredible news. This alone sold me. As if I wasn't sold already. Bye Bye 80 bucks.

I noticed that some players have a letter grade and some a number for potential, why is this?

# 151 tabarnes19_SDS @ 02/09/13 05:04 PM
Number for potential is only in the scout screen. Once a player is drafted they recieve a letter grade.

I know this isn't about MLB 13 but I'm trying to start a dynasty on year and this message comes up. Does anyone know what it means?

I think it means you do not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

I know you have to wait X amount of days before you can make new threads. There might be a waiting period for that dynasty stuff too. Or maybe you aren't using the correct link. Try navigating there manually?

And is there a way to eat some of the contract so that you can trade a player with a large contract to a team that otherwise wouldn't want to pay the contract?

Thanks.
This got lost in the mix and I haven't seen this stuff addressed at all. Anyone in the know who can shed some light on this aspect of Franchise?

The leader in franchise keeps getting deeper...

Wish those "other" sports video game developers would take heed...

Oh well:

Kudos, SCEA!

I'm glad to see the beginner mode that progresses as you get better. If it works correctly, this is a revolutionary step for a video game. I suck at hitting (and fielding), so I didn't even get the game last year after barely playing it the previous year. It seems these games are becoming more and more geared toward stick magicians - folks who populate forums like this. It's good to see a development team working to make a game more accessible for folks like me who want a good baseball simulation but don't have amazing stick skillz.

As a new guy who just joined a few months back, I keep seeing OSFM posted. What is it?
