But gameplay wise I'm loving what I'm seeing. No complaints so far after about 6 qtrs of play. Shot blocking is crazy, had a drive for a layup that got blocked from behind off the rim. that was nice to see. The momentum seems real good. Had a couple of instances were my momentum took me out of bounds.

Ai and off ball movement seem real good. I leave Thabo to try and double Westbrook and Thabo finds his way to the rim for the easy 2.
I agree with that. Either that this build is old or it really took a step back graphically. Player faces, skin textures, aliasing on player models. It really doesn't look that good.

Gameplay wise yeah I definately see a great potential. AI is convincing aswell.

Crowd is just the same, still very noisy in the first quarter. Maybe it's playoff atmosphere though.

Menus are terrible. I got no feel for the music. It doesn't really sound like 2K music to me.

I suck to bad at the new controls - played about 10 games and still mess it up! Hard to teach and old dog new tricks!

I'm absolutely in love with the shot modifying engine and the blocks!

Great news that we can play with both teams. I suppose since I have not read it that us 2K camera guys are stuck with the awful (IMO but I respect everyone who enjoys it) broadcast camera?

Thanks guys and happy playing.

Bit worried about the self alley oops, one of you said the AI did it multiple times in one quarter.

To those that are playing are you seeing the same thing?

Just Had Lebron take a step back and shoot his second freethrow from almost the top of the Key lol.

I think it happened because I pushed 'A' while he was reaching for a 'low five'/dap??? (dont know what u call it lol) from his team mates at the 3 point line.

Speed feels fixed to me, 24th.

I'm not having the self alley oop problems many are claiming.

The AI will attack your weaknesses, its vastly improved.

I got in 4 games before I had to get to work, the gameplay feels so much better.

Defending the PnR is going to be fun. It seems like depending on your defender positioning with the new defensive footing stances with angles, you can slide under or over the top if youre reactive enough. I know I've slid under a pick properly, and didn't take a bunch of contact. Was very smooth, and I'm stupidly excited for it.

I tried it once with Chalmers on the fast break but missed. was actually trying to lob it to Lebron who was running beside me.

i havent seen the computer do it but then again i havent seen many open fast breaks. i was only able to pull it off once with durant after a steal.

Haven't swiped much, but the stealing animations feel much better. Feel like when I press the button I'm actually just moving my defenders arm as opposed to activating an animation, if that makes any sense.

Has anyone been able to download the manual ? That link in the controls trailer does not work.

I think you have to aim the stick back in that situation.

That's my biggest problem so far. I've missed a ton of under the rim opportunities because I go up to dunk with the old controls imprinted in my head.

Just from one quick go around:

1. I felt like I was unstoppable offensively (as Miami). I'm not sure I missed a shot in the first quarter. I was up 21-12 after one (against computer). I'm sure that's due to the difficulty.

2. Second play of the game, an inbound from just inside half-court, the computer passed it in to a streaking Kevin Durant, who subsequently ran backcourt with it and was whistled for a violation.

3. I did still see a wrong-handed layup (Shane Battier using his left hand in the worst situation possible) but instead of being armpit blocked (which would have been a certainty in 2K12) he was able to somehow get the shot off and finish.

4. The coaches seemed to look markedly better and their movements more realistic.

5. Solid body-to-body interactions inside

6. Of the few dunks, one of them was a two-hander off the right foot from Dwyane Wade. It sort of feels that handedness might not be as stressed early on, but it's very early.

7. Another thing I loved was LeBron James' rebound off a missed free throw. He snagged it and in one smooth, great looking motion, began exploding up court.

Man I'm just loving the demo so far. 2k13 gameplay and all is reminding me a little 2k7 gameplay. I'm just loving the demo overall. Hate that the game speed is a little slow, but I can change that in the retail version. And also thank god the AI is finally not making every shot known to man now. Last year the AI made just about every shot even when your in it's face. Overall I would give the demo a 8.5 right now. Good job 2k.
