I definitely need to adjust. I need to press like 3 buttons now to dunk? I will likely play 20-25 more times and then give a solid impression. But so far, it feels a lot like last year. I feel I have little control. Animation heavy.. But it's early and who knows what level of play it is.. Im hopeful though

how is this more 'sim'? sometimes playing d on the roll guy gives better 'sim' results

I don't know if anyone else has noticed any issues with the speed, but I occasionally can't outrun the opposing team's bigs on a break with LeBron/Wade/Westbrook.

Also, I don't know if it's just me, but there seems to be a little bit of lag after holding down the sprint button on a break.

Didn't check all post, so not sure if you know, that you can change camera from broadcast to 2k

One thing I noticed, (maybe minor), has anyone on PS3 actually seen the "Dunk Meter"? I know I'm one of the guys that was picking little differences between 360/PS3 in the 2K12 Demo, but is it actually in? Can someone from 2K confirm? I actually thought that was a nice little addition, I'd hate it if it wasn't on the PS3 version. I've only seen replays after dunks, no Dunk Meter.

BTW: My first 2K13 points were a D-Wade Self-Oop. Words can't explain how happy I was, I've wanted this in the game for sooo long.

Best thing that happened to me so far is I missed a close jumper with LeBron, then right after went and snatched the offensive board and went back up with it. It was very fluid, and no one boxed me out no even durant so I was able to run to the basket and pursue the rebound.

2K camera

you need a kinect for that.
make sure that your kinect sensor has mic on. At the begining of the game you should see a kinect icon and message "kinect is listening".

than you have to say magic words " 2k camera" or " next camera"

hope that helps

after a lot of games played today:

new control stick sucks

why?

you're able to do a lot of the same moves just using the left stick ..... this doesn't make any sense for me.

i think i'm going to play "old style" because i don't see any benefit with the new system.

This will prob end up my sports GOTY. This dev team just completely understands how to create the entire package.

You mean the "Dunk Intensity" meter? I can confirm it's on PS3.

I like that they don't slide anymore.

I love how the defense is and punishes those who abuse only two people. In the screenshot you can see the outcome of one guy using two players and trying to bully his way down low. I wish they showed the stats for blocks, could have been a 2k demo record. Good job, 2k I'm impressed.

Played on PS3 and its a WHOLE different feeling! Good Job 2k from the gameplay to the little things like Russell Westbrook 2 Pistols ritual after he hits a 3!!! The only thing that gets me frustrated is the new controls! It's going to take me a long time to get these controls down but once I do I'mma ball with my C's!!!

Yeah, the Dunk Intensity Meter. I have still yet to see it. I'm at the point of letting the CPU get in the paint and dunk at will just to see if it's there. I'll keep at it then. Thanks.

Edit: I got it to happen, I don't know the specs on when/why it pops up but I got an And-1 and used Square to dunk. I've been using the stick but to no avail, but got it the first time with square.

Played about 5 games so far. 3 against the CPU, which I enjoyed more than the 2 I played online. I gotta say, this game kind of blew me away with the "little things". All the small animations that happen. Bosh went up for a turnaround jumper and took some contact on the shot, he missed and no foul was called, then he turns to the ref and puts his hands up like "c'mon ref".

The contact animations look very smooth for the most part. I see players stumbling and reacting to contact like no basketball game I've seen to date. The controls will definitely take some getting used to. I sometimes feel lost playing on offense. But I'm sure the more I play I'll have a lot of moves down by then. I'll for sure be in practice mode next Tuesday.

Overall this game seems like something I'll be playing until 2K14. And that's just based off of playing the demo a few times. Can't wait to get my hands on it October 2nd.
