I'm seriously considering cancelling my pre-order, to me the game feels exactly the game. Unlike a lot of people I liked the demo better, the A.I seemed excellent both for you on attack and for the CPU in general. You really noticed the changes but so far it feels exactly the same.

Same cheesy moves by the CPU who feel invincible and frustrating to play against. Same ridiulous speed. No midefield play. Pace is overpowered again. As well as many other problems.

You notice some things but they are very minute, It's a shame I spent �20 to play it early(that's how excited I was) but I guess I get to play other games early next year as well so it's all good. I might still get it, the graphics, modes and licenses really are appealing whereas PES as much as I love it just feels very bland. If we only we had FIFAs extra features and PESs gameplay.

Who knows, maybe I'll only get Football Manager this year.....

Fouls are not an issue. They are definitely in the game.

I was booked for 2 yellow's my last game and both fouls were really borderline. Could easily have been free kick restarts. I was shocked to get booked.

Earlier I posted that I could not get carded no matter what I did. Wrong! I received a red for tackling from behind.

But, the perfection of the CPU passes kills any enjoyment for me. I set the cpu pass error slider to 75 and they ended a game with 96% passing.

The cpu also plays too directly forward for me. All teams seem to play the same. The build up is non existent, even with Barca and Spain.

Barca had a 2 goal lead and still barreled forward. They do not play that way, ever, not even with a 1 goal lead. They normally move it around laterally and allow the opposition to simply die a slow death and be utterly frustrated in the process.

To make matters worse, Messi was subbed in with 15 minutes left. Not a defender. Not a defensive midfielder. Messi! A striker for a striker.

Next game the Dutch had a 2 goal lead on me (USA) and the only sub was a wide forward for a, wait for it... wide forward!

This is killing the game for me.

2 of my issues from last year have been eradicated. Kudos to EA for that. Fouls are nice to see and shooting from distance is nice to see.

But, every team seems to play the same, way too direct. CPU passing is too precise and the cpu AI is terrible.

I agree with this completely.

But I think fouls are defintely a problem, not so much for normal tackles I have got a few of thoughs but mainly when it comes to shoving people of the ball and shirt pulling. The A.I does it to me constantly and no free kick, no card, not nothing. I remember my 2nd or 3rd game the A.I basically pulled me to the ground inside the box and I didn't get a penalty.

So is ESPN scoreboard MLS and EPL only? Have played a few games in Serie A and haven't seen it.

Is there not a penalty slider? I haven't seen one. The CPU has MAULED me in certain games.

And true to soccer, I threw my hands up at the ref and whined to no avail.

The live fixtures and match of the week stuff is great. I wish there was more ways to customize the AI though. I want separate offense/defense difficulty levels like MLB the show. I want to play the AI defense on the hardest difficulty and the AI offense on medium difficulty.

Same, the fouls are so %$^&ing infuriating. I had a striker torn to pieces in the CPU box, a home match and around the 80th minute with the score 0-0...nothing.

Why can't EA figure this out? Morons.

I have the release day version so I'll just post my impressions here. Like everyone has said, the Fouls have been rather annoying. Other than that I've been having an enjoyable time with the game

im liking the game alot. it is almost there imo, but the changes have caused major improvements.

im liking how fatigue is affecting online play. two games today i was able to come back from 0-2 to win 3-2 because my opponent was playing super aggressive the entire game. the momentum is still there though and i gave up some cheap goals with 2 or 3 defenders ball watching incoming crosses, however it does feel toned down from last year, i wont know for sure till i play more games.

career mode vs the ai is improved. i dont like to brag, but i had extremely good defense in 12 and able to hold the cpu shot attempts down and cause back passes, yes it is possible, you just have to control the passing lanes.

the attacking ai is very nice now. i see them playing more deep passes and creative shots in the box. it does not feel bad at all though, i dont feel like im being overwelmed by the "super scripted ai". it honestly feels like im playing online.

defending ai is improved as well. so many passes i know i could thread between defenders are being stopped by the defender sticking his foot and poking at the ball. which is something you didnt see enough of in 12. the way the ai picks up and switches on the runs is nicely done. the bad defense im seeing in the game is usually from formations breaking down the defensive zone and of course the over done momentum where your defenders become statues. it is not game breaking but i know i will give up more goals this year then i would have last year. which isnt a bad thing.

obviously the game doesnt play like a sim, but big deal its not something we were expecting anyways. like most have said, i would love to have pes gameplay with fifa features.

I had one of my top strikers kicked in the leg, in the box, defender never touched the ball, and it put my guy out for two weeks. No call.

Is it possible that ESPN is only in american copies of the game? Because ESPN doesn't really exist in continental Europe.

LOL I feel your frustration it just bad to as the player react too slow and the contain feature is a terrible concept, especially when you have no control over how much pressure you want to give.

I have heard it is only available in the North American copies of the game.
