No Crew Mode For NBA 2K13

During a recent interview with US Sports Down Under, NBA 2K13 Producer, Erick Boenisch let the cat out of the bag, as he confirmed no Crew Mode for NBA 2K13. This marks the second year in a row Crew Mode will not be featured in the game.

no, you shouldn't make assumptions on things you know nothing about. there was no modding on ps3, and nothing cheesy about my game. i gm'd for the top legit crew(always debatable of course).

Maybe not, but that don't mean crew was all full of fun and excitement either. Even if you didn't run into guys with they're 7'0 ft 99 overall players in every match you played, you definitely ran into the black hole ball hogs that make Kobe look like 2011 Finals LeBron in at least every other matchup, if not every single one. If you're going to set the record straight, make sure you're doing it both ways.

You know...I never thought about that.

I wasn't a Crew player, I do mod my MP (I put a cyberface on him, those CAP players look awful) and I never really felt one way or another about Crew. Obviously, on one hand, I want the ability to mod my guy, so it didn't bother me that they scrapped Crew to do away with the 7'0' PGs - but I always thought your Crew player and MP player should be separate anyway. But at no point did I consider PS3 players. You guys don't have the ability to mod players, but are punished for what 360 users did..

Man, that's a raw deal.

exactly! that's what i was saying yesterday. they don't care... crew is their secret weapon. without competition it probably won't return. half of us will probably be dead by the time it does. thanks 2k

That's unfair. Crew their secret weapon? Whether or not they land well with the consumers, or even function properly, 2K is always making changes and adding things to NBA 2K. Things that we had before and wanted back like the ability to control bounce passes, or things we just asked for like the full All-star weekend in MP. All those classic teams man...and now the '92 Dream Team.. Then we also have the sig-skills this year...but Crew is their secret weapon?

It's tough to take things seriously when people say things like that.

I am MAD as F! CREW is not in the game. I love 2k and im going to get it regardless but this is a huge letdown.. Voted #2 after my player. They see the demand is extremely high. why not put it in the game. If 2k wanted to make the best bball game ever why would crew not be included over the new additions of My Team & the Kinect feature. They should focus on the modes that players want from previous games before adding in new 1s just to make money. And im sorry but CREW over Pick up games all day!

I always figured that it was high school and college aged dudes that played this mode the most, so I would assume that most of those guys are in class right now. When I get back home from work this evening I expect this thread to be 20 plus pages, unless people get out of control and it gets locked.

yea, but things like controlled bounce passes, and dream team are so minor compared to a huge mode on 2k. besides, i feel like my guy made the bounce passes when he should make em. dream team? you can already use all those guys anyway. i don't care about it. it just blows my mind that they'd swap out crew for ultimate team. i'm not 7 anymore, i don't trade cards.

I m actually glad its gone. I was kinda hoping the all these modes that have nothing to do with sim basketball experience would be packaged in a dlc that you could buy at your discretion. I havent played myplayer since it was first introduced and wasnt drawn to it as much. I personally would rather all the man hours be put into the sim basketball side of 2k, and secondly online and online play working the way it should. Thats just me so def not a deal breaker for me. Or anyone else I know for that matter. cant wait for 2nd!
