When you set-up the match before you confirm to start it you can change the settings

The ability to change game speed was announced as part of the demo.

Any evidence of a midfield game? I don't want a game where action only occurs on 2/3rds of the field.

First thing i am going to try tonight.
1. Get ball on the flank.
2. Sprint up sideline.
3. Repeat.

If i can do this endlessly, then it's a no buy for me. Also, i'd like to witness the cpu pass backwards at least once!

Yeah, I'd specifically like to hear some feedback on the Slow version. Why? Because I'm at work and I can't wait to hear!

Origin is ridiculously slow right now and I cannot even process the download for the demo.

How can I download it for PC without going through Origin?

I don't know about the sprint up the sidelines since I didn't play enough before work. But I can verify that the CPU passes back.

Alot.

Well at least Juventus does.

No realism in that.

So after playing a few games mostly with Juve and BVB here are my impressions.

1. First Touch is real, no novelty here. It works great.
2. I played on Slow and I think First Touch makes the game seem slowly, which I appreciate.
3. Attacking Intelligence works too. I think I like the support in PES 2013 better though.
4. I like the addition of the form arrows finally.
5. Teams definitely back pass.

Overall, I like the game, but I think I like PES 2013 better. I will play more to cement my opinion. I do believe it will be a day one purchase though.

They included form arrows from PES?

Its part of the new Matchday feature. You can see the "real world" form of the players before each match if you have the feature turned on. That's what I mean.

This feels eerily similar to last year's game. I rarely play offline though, so next week's early release will be my measuring stick, when I can play online.

Kinda disappointing thus far.

Good stuff.

I think one of the biggest restrictions of this demo is the fact it only has 3 minute halves. This might make the AI play more uptempo because of the time restrictions.

Wow!!! Game feels great. Player movement is awesome and I definitely notice a difference to player weight compared to last year. Physics engine is really refined and the ball is very lively. First touch is legit. Graphics are great and the AI seems to be greatly improved. Day one purchase for sure. At this point looks to be in the running for GOTY.

At first game felt stiff and faster. Really warming up to it now. I only play full manual with analog sprint on. Really some cool moments with first touch ive seen. Had a break and did a quick foward early cross to a breaking striker. He could not bring it down was really cool. Also you can truly dump balls into the box and see what happens. Really adds an anything can happen nature to the gameplay. Really cool really impressed day one.

I have one more thing to add too that's pretty cool. The refs are calling fouls when players jostle. They don't even have to fall down.
