Madden NFL 13 News Post


Madden NFL 13 Title Update #2 is available now for 360 users. We'll update this post when PS3 users can see it.

This update includes a new instant start option when creating a player in CCM. The team has also fixed numerous stability issues and GameFace improvements.

While the team hasn't added the ability to edit players in CCM, they still haven't shot down the idea completely, in hopes to have it available in a future patch.

The week 1 Madden NFL 13 updated rosters for CCM are not included in this title update, but are supposed to be out sometime this week.

UPDATE: Here are the details on the title update.
  • Added an Instant Start option to Connected Careers as a player
  • Numerous commentary improvements to address when lines trigger and what they say.
  • Added a trade notification in CCM for the NFL Draft
  • Fixed social media sharing post-game to address spacing issues
  • Improved the GameFace feature
  • Fixed Challenge Audio to make the appropriate call
  • Improved Physics Get-up post play
  • Adjusted created players in Connected Careers so that they always have high progression grades despite their backstory choices
  • Fixed defensive assignment issues against the CPU AI when users were in Man Coverage
  • Increased the chances to trade for a CPU team’s starter
  • Adjusted the scouting development trait in CCM to display as (Slow, Medium, Fast, or Superstar) instead of 0-3.
  • Added the ability to post results from H2H MUT games on Facebook/Twitter.
  • Numerous stability issues around the game in general were also included in the update to improve the overall experience and Connected Careers specifically.

Did the same, wondering about this myself. Any info on whether accel clock was fixed in online CCM games would be appreciated. At this point, online head to head is almost unplayable, it takes so long.

Because that's what it's done in Offline CC and play now since release. Practice team AI still blows even in online CC, but I can live with that as long as the actual game 2 minute drill AI is better.
Were you referring to the AI going for it on 4th with a pass play short of the 1st down marker?

I've seen much worse than that from the AI in my online CC. For (just one) example, I've seen them down with under 1 minute by less than 3 on MY 20 yard line run a HB draw on 4th and 10.

Wow, it needs to be fixed quickly.

Knock on wood, I haven't run into it, yet, in my online CCM.

I was talking about the AI running twice in that situation. As well as Gameflow being similarly stupid for me (no kneel down play).

I've seen several reports of the 2 minute drill being better in online CC (not great, but not as dumb as the video above), and I've seen it for myself. Maybe I'm just getting lucky, but I definitely think there's a difference there.

Idk if it's just me or not, but the lighting during day games looks better. It wasn't as dark and I could easily distinguish the different teams and players.

I know we have folks that are mad and continue to complain but can we just get a Thread talking about what they did fix in this patch. This flooding the Threads with a bunch of complaints stuff is getting old. I came in this thread to see what was fix not read about stuff I have been seeing for the last 2 weeks about this game. We have appropriate sections and topics for that.

I'm not saying ignore the problems in the game but let's be respectful and stop bum rushing every topic

That's not the problem we have post in here with people finding out stuff but we got to dig through a bunch of complaining to see it

but I'm going to stop after this because I don't want to go back in forth talking about complainers and adding to the problem

I have a funny feeling they didn't do any AI issues. They just said they fixed stability issues (ie crashing and online disconnects), gameface (which is a dumb patch), and added the ability to insta-start in CCM.

If they fixed AI issues, they probably would have said:

"Fixed numerous/some/a few AI issues"

It is the only place people can complain about the patch without getting locked up.
