I am pretty impressed with the QB AI. I think the audio is fantastic minus the two minute warning glitch where the stadium music doesn't stop playing.

The tackling is all over the board IMO. It is so far off from what I had envisioned.

Not really. He could have made Elite a decent game with a good slider set

Easy now. He is entitled to his opinion.

I played 4 games with every team (All-pro difficulty). Overall it was decent.

- There are definitely some nice hit animations now and big backs for the most part fall forward which is nice.
- I didn't throw one interception in 4 games.
- I had a very high completion percentage as well as the CPU. This is a result of no psychic DB's IMO. QB's seem too accurate however.
- CPU seemed a little better running the ball compared to last year (could be because I haven't played in a while).
- There really is no interaction when attempting the goaline fade between the receiver and DB. Its very inconsistent.
- Not a big fan of the juke move. Where are the quick cuts? It would be nice to have those to cut back to daylight.
- The replays at the playcall screen that remove the play clock are annoying.
- CPU defense still knows your playcall.

I have just played one game but I like it so far. The commentary is among the best we have seen from EA and the presentation overall is nice.

It's early but I felt as though the coverage was better although All-Madden was easy by default. The run game was easier early when I was mixing it up but difficult late in the game when they knew I was running.

I loved the player models and colors. They really stood out. Most of the animations wee good, especially the players sucking under tackles. The collision system isn't perfect but it's a good base. There are done wonky animations but I can live with them for one year or until a patch arrives as long as the gameplay is smooth and the features work correctly.

Overalls, I was impressed initially. I'll probably find some things I don't like the more I pay. However, I definitely think we are on the right track with the new engine.

I've never seen a glitch or something that wasn't work correctly ever be fixed in the final version.

If it's in the demo, it's always been in the final version.

People go through phases with these games.

Phase 1. Complain. Pick it apart. Say it sucks.
Phase 2. Try to find good things. Say it's starting to show promise.
Phase 3. Complain and say it sucks again.

I'll wait until after day one when someone finds some ridiculous glitch and the the community tries to come up with ways to "fix" it. These usually include changing attributes, messing with sliders, deleting plays from play books, not calling certain plays, editing entire offensive lines, ect.

Far from perfect and still room for lots of improvement but seems like best madden yet. Much better than 12.

The thing that bugs me is that they have had 7-8 years with the license and did nothing with it.

Why are we content and satisfied hoping they are going to turn the corner with the next installment.

There is always room for improvement.

I feel like we need an entirely new engine. I don't think this infinity engine is the answer. The tackles look weird and the physics are way off.

Just the fact that Gus Johnson and Chris Collinsworth have been replaced makes this game so much better!

I forgot to mention, Seattle ran a toss play, I was controlling London Fletcher, had Lynch lined up and I took a horrible angle and ended up literally taking my teammate out of the play. I was mad at myself but it was neat to see as that has never happened before.

A little warning: I haven't played a Madden game since Madden '10. I'm basically an NCAA guy. Haven't even played a Madden Demo either. This is the first Madden I've even tried since 2009.

1st off, the game looks amazing. Absolutely beautiful. The crowd audio and the presentation is great from what little I've played the game. Much better than in years past when I could barely even stand playing a half without getting annoyed with the horrible, horrible announcer and the crowd that sounded like they were watching the game in church on a mini-TV they snuck in.

I'm not THAT impressed with the Infinity Engine. Yes, it's a cool addition, but nothing that would make me buy the game on that alone.

I'll keep this short, but overall I think this might be a Madden I'll buy. I was completely not going to get it until I played the demo, and it almost sold me. Almost. I might wait until after I get NHL '13 to get Madden, thanks to the $15 credit I got from Amazon. Plus, by that time the NFL will be in full swing and I'll be obsessing over the Chiefs in full force.

In closing: I can't wait until NCAA and Madden '14. Once they fix the bugs in the IE those two games might be the best football sim games in history. Too bad it's at the end of this gen of consoles. Sounds familiar.

PS: The demo just froze on me. Whoopie.

This is the first year they added it. It's going to take a few iterations to work out the kinks.

I mean we wanted physics, and they added it. Since they aren't perfect in the first year of implementation though, they should take it out instead of improving upon it?

Kind of silly IMO.

I am not liking how the AI plays. Every time somebody gets the ball, they immediately start spamming jukes and spins across the field and every play, there are about 2-3 broken tackles

I like it. It's still madden so it still has that madden feel, but the infinity engine is a MAJOR step in the right direction. It gives the game an extra umph that it's been missing forever. I sincerely hope EA doesn't rest on its laurels and continues to build upon this engine instead.

Pass rushing is insanely fun. It's all about setting up your moves. Using orakpo was different than using kerrigan as it should be. The infinity engine shines when you get a sack.

I swore I saw a neck tattoo on deangelo hall.

I hope they have qb styles still in the game. All of the qbs feel the same to me.

Running will be a task, but it sure is satisfying when you break off a long one. Gotta follow those blocks and hit the hole perfectly.

THEY FINALLY BROUGHT BACK INDIVIDUAL DB ASSIGNMENTS!!! OMGZZZZ!

The rest is typical madden so far and since I love playing some madden I can't complain. This may give 2005 a run for it's money. I may actually play franchise mode again this year for the first time since 2005. The connected careers thing has me intrigued to first be a player and then coach.

Haven't played franchise mode in a while though. I miss the days when I could jack up the concession prices and create my own stadium. Bring all that ish back too EA.

I really like the infinity engine, yes I am seeing some quirky things, but no different than with canned animations. I really think this is going to be the answer for better defensive line play and especially with pass rush moves. They need to tone down the engine after the play is over. If they can get true momentum right with this engine I think this could be the real deal. I also think replays go to slow and they look real jerky, if they speed them up a bit and pull the camera back a tad it would help a lot.

Loving the stadium audio, nice music being played in the stadiums and the fans sound good. I like the commentary but just wish they would talk some more during replays.

The graphics are nice and crisp and the grass doesn't seem so distracting this year.

the kicking meter is faster and a little more touchy so this may make it a little harder this year.

I went to overtime and they announced the new overtime rule being in effect so that is nice.

there are still some kinks that need to be worked out with the infinity engine but all in all i like where madden is heading.

most fun i had with a madden demo in a while. def looking forward to the game now.

# 858 Darth Aegis @ 08/15/12 02:44 AM
Having fun with the demo is it perfect? no.Is the engine perfect? no, I see alot of people raggin on the engine for some of the silly tackles which I agree with look funny but then you see the plays that are amazing and super realistic and make you go wow that was awesome. Ex, m Williams caught a deep ball on me with 2 defenders in coverage, One defender closest to Williams went for a diving tackle and missed the 2nd defender behind the 1st got tripped up and dove for him but was taking out by his own man. TD Williams, This has been the most fun I've had playing madden in at least 5 years feels fresh and different. And the field looks awesome on the 360 version. I don't know how people can honestly say this feels like last years game, sometimes I think this game could drop out a gold bar and people would still complain. This series is finally going in the right direction for once, give it a chance, and its only a demo.

Definitely a good structure for next gen

As for the rest, seems that the presentation for replays was abrupt. The game was waaaayyy to fast but I didn't mess with sliders or chew clock so I know that won't stay that way. Can't wait to get the game, always get it with the SI deal, connected careers sounds awesome and I already have my Gameface set.

I had a DPI call on my second game. I was Niners, threw a bomb to Randy Moss as he skied up and Antrel Rolle couldn't get in good enough position but was in between the balls trajectory and Moss. The flag was thrown and I was in disbelief.
