It's not a delay - the PSN store publish never goes live until the afternoon.

They have clearly given me a fun game to play. I played it today and enjoyed that engine and how unpredictable it was, I intercepted the ball, and had a choice where to run ( i wasn't take down soon as I picked it), I could run back a punt and wasn't caught in canned animations. I HAD FUN for the first time in a long time with an unpredictable NFL game, but there was no environment to go with this fun, there was no true real broadcast style presentation that could tie it all together and give me a complete package. This is where it stings year after year. Also there is no excuse why most of these payers are sporting created faces when they are key players on their respective teams.
I'm sure they want it back, too.

I do like Nantz and Simms going over the stats at half-time. That is different than last year.

One thing that seems to be missing from most EA games, Madden included is the feeling that each game means something and is different. Week 1 is different than Week 15. The "in game experience" is virtually the same regardless of who you are playing and what Week it is. Same with NCAA. If you went over to a buddy's house and walked in midgame, there is no way you would know if it was Play Now, Preseason, Week 1, Week 10 or Week 17. That's an issue for immersion.

I would love them to take exactly what 2K did presentation style, put a positive EA twist on it and roll from there..
Im with you, and I also think that M13 is a massive step forward in this department.

I don't think I can tell that from the demo version, it's only play now games. Franchise might be different this year.

I don't get that though. I can say things and it is just fine and then times when there's little noise (and I've even went up to the Kinect and spoke) and it doesn't register at all. It's pretty finicky
Ok I turned the volume off and it's still hit or miss. Hope it is better in retail.

The commentary is so tight...like, I swear, as soon as the ball crosses the goal line, they say TOUCHDOWN. They seriously stop dead in anything they're saying to announce what immediately happens. Very cool.

I am kindly asking the GC's to please help us get some type of editing system in place to make our players more authentic, or just get on EA about updating key players on each time, because it is a HUGE part of an authentic presentation.
Dude, I think folks like us are going to have some beast fun seriously just using Play Now Mode. It's pretty much going to rule. Making spreadsheets may well suck, but I'll be making them and sharing if folks want them.

plays like ncaa with a little better graphics

I like the demo, overall. Need to get used to the slower game speed. I am used to NCAA 13 speed, I know it can be changed, but I'd rather play like it is. Also, the physics are a little over the top with the falling down after the play. but it is a good step forward.

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem as I've only read about the last 3 pages, but while playing on All Madden I experience so many drops its mind boggling. And I'm not talking getting hit while catching the ball these are wide open receivers with a defender 5+ yards away. Happens multiple times a game(atleast 5 or more). Kind of irks me..

You're not the only one. If you're playing on All Madden, bump the catching sliders.

A couple of questions based on the demo vids being posted...

I'm noticing a lot of ignored rushers but an extreme lack of pressure if blockers can engage. Similar issue on run plays where most of the good defense happens when a defender is ignored.

Has anyone tried boosting the blocking AI & defensive break block? Seems like that could get the blockers to attempt to block the appropriate defenders more often but not hold blocks for so long.

Are there separate sliders for blocking AI & blocking ability (mental vs physical)? If so, is lowering that the same as raising the break block for defenders?

-----------

A lot of the game looks decent. If I ignore the line play and the RTP doesn't get out of hand, not too bad.

Very impressed with the commentary. Wasn't too sure about it before actually playing it, but there's practically no dead time. Makes it much more enjoyable.

As far as the gameplay goes, I like that the main upgrades seem to work as advertised. The coolest moment for me is when the CPU passed into double coverage, but Moss went up and got it. Just great timing and a great leap. Pretty cool catch to see that didn't feel cheap.

One thing I don't like though is that the AI never seems to adapt to the money plays. "Sugar Blitz" in the nickel formation always gets pressure or sacks. I got 2 sacks with Justin Tuck right at the beginning.

I just hope when playing CC, it's not as easy to pile on multiple sacks when using that play. It's great for applying pressure, but it's cheap when it gets you 40 sacks a season like it did in Madden 12...

It's due to the all Madden default sliders being at 25 for the user, I think (WR catching included). Frankly I'm surprised people haven't noticed this in older Maddens - It speaks to the idea that sliders might actually work as intended this year. Try on all pro and see if they catch better.

Did someone say you can't download rosters without Gold?

This might stop me from buying the game, I really don't feel like paying for Gold on top of a new game right now.

Ok I have to get some sleep. My overall Impressions:
I love a lot of what I see and there's some I don't like.

There are way to many big hit's IMO for one thing.
Also the new physics need "toned down" a bit. The least little touching seems to trigger more reaction than it really should. Just seems "off".

I also have seen a few double teams which is a nice thing.
Ball physics are a bit better but not all the way there yet...but better.

Crowd sounds are very nice!

Kinect is VERY hit or miss. Even tried turning volume down all the way and it was still 50/50 if it even heard me. Hope it's better in retail.

So overall I'm happy BUT I'm also hoping the game has been tuned a bit since the demo was finalized.
