Is Luck the highest ever rated rookie QB in Madden? I would have to think that is the case.

Rookie QBs shouldn't be rated in the mid 80s until they prove it on the field. With roster updates available every week during the season, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Brady probably has to have a stronger THP to keep his OVR high.

The problem with waiting until the roookies "prove" they deserve that is that people who play with those teams that are expecting them to be good, with no edits, we would have to wait until donny releases the new update through the mid-end of the season which by then I would already be deep into my franchise.

But that is my opinion on why it is done that way.

Never been one to care too much on ratings, but Brees with a deep ball accuracy of 84 compared to RG3 who is higher is ridiculous when stats show Brees has been one of the best at it over the last few years

Ooops saw the wrong line. Ok my bad. But still I'm mad and there will be no rest until Flacco's throwing power is raised.

Well on the bright side, at least we have the ability to edit the ratings we dislike for our franchises. Oh wait....

I like looking at the Broncos rookie QB Brock Os. Becuase he is only a 69 but a deep throw accuracy of 83 and a throw power of 96, I looked and saw his awareness at 39 lol. So to drop a QB down they just messed with his awareness, which means I could use him and still be leathal if Manning goes down lol. O this is going to be great being able to launch it deep to DT lol.

Ratings have been, for the most part, been updated on weekly basis. There will probably even be one on or near release day.

Looking at all the ratings, now that I am home, and one must say that EA has moved away from stretched out ratings. 9 players in the 90's isnt the worst thing in the world (I would like between 5 and 7), but 27 QBs are 80 or higher and 43 with a 75 or higher. That is like saying 43 QBs in the league are better than average. How do your really separate between teams and players. .

Out of the gate this is lame. Here are the QB's he has Throwing power wise equal to or having higher throwing power than Flacco.

Equal

RGIII
Derrick Anderson
Jerrod Johnson
Ryan Periloux
Tarvaris Jackson
Jake Locker

Greater Than

Aaron Rogers
Tom Brady
Josh Freeman
Matthew Stafford
Michael Vick
Cam Newton
Jay Cutler
John Skelton
Ryan Mallett
Brock Osweiler

How is all of this measured and calculated? What sources are being used to determine arm strength?

I have my hunch as to why Flacco's lower than those other guys, especially with the speed WR's we have this year.

Get the throwing power up and take the speed and trucking down.

I'm sorry, I know Brandon Weeden hasn't played a real NFL game yet and all, but COMON, he should not be rated lower than Colt McCoy!!! That's ridiculous, I don't mind them being close, but if Colt McCoy is a 75 then Weeden should be a 77 or higher imo. Not saying he should be a 77, just saying McCoy is not better than Brandon Weeden, end of story.

How many of you would play an online game with Colt McCoy starting for the Browns instead of Brandon Weeden, honestly? (silence)

I just think RGIII and Luck are rated just a little to high. Not by much but would've rather seen them knocked down 2-3 overall points each.

Just hope progression is good this year because in the past both would be 90+ by next year.

I understand sliders help (I use them), but they shouldn't have to be used to make players ratings differentiated. They should be used to make the game easier or harder if I am playing as a specific team.

I should be able to play a game on all-pro or even pro(the default setting) and be able to tell the difference between a Pro-Bowl QB, Mid Level QB, and a back-up.

But that is another topic for another thread.

Not really true, last year after about 3 seasons Brees/Brady/Peyton only dropped maybe 1 or 2 points. Peyton Manning is understandable given his age if he drops more tho

I really expected Joe Flacco to finally be in the elite 90s.Cam at 89 is Legit though i respect it.By the time the season starts i hope they both reach the 90s
