Guys its probably going to have nothing to do with gameplay. There announcing it at E3 so you have think it's going to be something about the cover, or like broadcast ream, if not something legends specific.
I mean think about "Ladies and gentleman we are proud to announce..that are A.I are super smart in this years iteration"... or "Ladies and gentleman we are proud to announce that we fixed are terrible rebounding and sliding".
That just doesn't make sense to be called big news. My guess is it has something to do with the legends and the cover of 2K

The one thing that goes against a cover announcement is the fact that he said our most hardcore fans will like what we have in store.
If it has anything , and I mean ANYTHING to do with legends , I will be extremley disappointed. First off , I dont wanna play with legends...Second off , if I do , Ill download one of the rosters you great people at OS put out with the legends because lets face it , most of your rosters are more finely tuned then their rosters are.
As far as the announcement , I hope its this: Okay guys , we've heard your cries , we've seen and now adressed the issue...FINALLY!... After 7 Long years...... We bought new Online servers!!!! NO MORE SEGA DREAMCAST SERVERS!! YOU SHALL BE CONNECTED!! ( crowd roars )
but why hide it for another couple of weeks we need all the re assurment we can get and yes i made that word up
If a video game developer wants to announce something huge, it's not gonna be just for one console (in this case, people think it'll be kinect). That would just be bad marketing. This is gonna be something big, probably not monumental, but big. Not just some small new feature put it. But like somebody said earlier, if it's about legends, I'm gonna be a little disappointed. I mean, it's just part of NBA 2k now. If you add some more of them or expand on the legends mode, great, but I'm hoping it's not the huge announcement.

First, assurance is a real word that means exactly what your made up word assurment was trying to mean, lol.
Second, they need something to announce at E3 -- I hope they got a deal with TNT to use their presentation stuff. They could add the TNT crew (EJ, Kenny, Barkley, Shaq) and keep the current one and have two different broadcasts.

i wasn't even sure i just rolled with it lol but you could be right but that seems something that could be a dev insight, i just had an idea of what it could be but i forgot i'll post when i remember
TNT integration, NBA TV integration, Sprint Halftime Show with Ernie,Charles, and Kenny and Sprint will be handling the servers. That will kick the competition even more while they are down.
If it's anything with Legends that will be a huge disappointment. I love what they did with adding legends the past 2 years but if they try to use that gimmick again then it's starting to get ridiculous. I'm not saying i want them to take out Legends but at some point lets focus on TODAY's NBA instead of just living in the past.
Alot of their sales I'm sure come from older people who watched Jordan and Co. So if they remove that I'm sure their sales would go down.
I hope they include even more legendary squads. I want to see the 91 Jazz, the 93 or 87 sonics, the 88 mavericks, the 91 suns, the 91 or 95 pacers, the 97 or 92 heat, the 93 nets and others.
No legendary teams, no buying from me.

I'm really not into today's NBA (actually, haven't been watching much NBA the past few years...and I don't want to make it worse, so I'll stop here), but I agree. I LOVE the late 80's-early 90's NBA (and most of the time I live in the past, I really am), and It's a nice feature and would be nice if they keep it, but it can't be a major thing. Big things can't involve legends, in my opinion. Major things should be some gameplay/graphics/control breakthrough. And if it's not a breakthrough, please...please...please...don't make it sound like it is.
