MLB 12 The Show Game Update 1.16 Arrives, Details Included - Post Your Impressions

Another MLB 12 The Show game update arrived this morning, bring it up to version 1.16. Check below for the details and let us know what you are seeing.

Schedules and box score were misaligned for a portion of the games for certain teams.
Occasionally when loading into online games, an empty field (home plate view) would be shown and user has to PS button out.
Analog bunting interface, versus a behind the pitcher view in online games would cause a frequent freeze when the user on offense bunted.

Haven't turned on my PS3 for a couple days (although it is connected to the internet). My question to those in-the-know......If you are a PS Plus member will it automatically DL the patch? Lord I hope not

It's an option. With Auto-Update on, when you turn on your PS3 after not using it for a while you'll see a screen that shows some of the recently modified files that have been copied to online storage. This same screen tells you whether it downloaded any patches. If you don't see that screen when you first turn your PS3 on, then it probably hasn't downloaded the update.

Yeah not downloading this. After the 1.06 mess I'm not downloading any patches. I'm happy with the game right now.

I'm not trying to force you to do one or the other, but based on the problems everyone has after the patch, you should be cautious.

Yeah, I know lol. I just never have those problems that people tend to have when it comes to patches.

Be careful what you say. Just because you have not had problems before doesn't mean you won't in the future.

As for the new patch, I will not be downloading it at all. I feel sorry for the guys that did and are now having problems. I would be in that situation myself if I had turned the game on before coming on here today. Guess I will be checking here before downloading any patch in the future.

will i notice any difference if i delete the patches? rtts is the only mode i play. i had 1.06 working fine before this mess

Yeah I'm one of the few who's never really had an issue, no freezing or patch issues... time to check my rtts... *gulps*

My franchise seems fine.

No weird records (no extra 162 losses) and the correct teams made the playoffs.

What point are you at in the season? Seems like most of the issues are coming from after the Allstar break.

I was in June when I downloaded the patch.

my freeze is occuring post all star break as well. AA - rtts

My Franchise seems fine and I'm in May. I simmed past the All-Star break and everything seems normal.

I know I asked once, but no one has answered my question so I'll be a pest and ask again. lol Does anyone know how to stop the game from prompting me to download the patch, because I don't plan to download it. Many thanks.

Go to the XMB and disable your internet connection under the Network Settings section. Re-enable your internet when you use it for other games.

Press circle when it prompts you instead of X.

Although I read your post from earlier and I've never heard of it prompting someone for a patch in the middle of a game. Only when starting up the game or attempting to go online (you won't be able to play online or use the vaults without the latest patch)

My Orioles franchise was at April 22. I DLed the patch, played the first game the Toronto series, and saved. No problems whatsoever. No crazy records. No freezing.
