I agree with what most of you guys have said... I enjoy the demo and it still has its fun factor but the post play animations really hurt the realistic play IMO. Also, as mentioned the player model graphics really need to take a huge leap forward if there is a MLB2k13. That is my biggest disappointment so far with the demo.

I would like to know if there are any major or minor differences that we will see from in the retail version verses the demo? Any ideas? Thanks,Blitz

I thought all these comments pretty much summed up my impressions. Very fair, and surprisingly optimistic consider some of the negative banter being thrown around the forums. As always, remember it's JUST a demo and obviously not the final product. Only a few more days to go!

a lot more smoother this year: grammar fail?

but im in the same boat as you guys, i'm not blown away this year by far. but last year i said if they can polish up the bugs and give us a shiny new presentation then i'd buy again. on top of that they added the pitching changes plus variety in hits.

i put in alot of time with 2k11 last year, and if this is as good as it sounds then i'm gonna be satisfied

Hey guys!! I remember when I was a kid in the Dominican Republic, playing Baseball for me was not only a hobby but it was everything. I had nothing else to play with but a bat and a baseball.
I grew up playing baseball there, then I came to the United State when I was 10 years old. That was in 1990.. now Im 31.. anyways.. I played in middle school down here in Miami. I was the best of my class. Then I moved to Seattle. My dad used to work in Alaska so I Jumped to High School there. (EverGreen Senior High)I played shortstop and second base, Alex Rodriguez was my MLB IDOL back then. After 3 1/2 years I received a scholarship to play for the UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD. But then I hurt my left knee in a terrible injury during a Double Play.

Now that you Guys know my Baseball Background..
TIME FOR MY IMPRESSION ON MLB 2K12 DEMO....

Seriously 2K???
(1st.) Let me start with the Good things in the demo.. The Pitching is Great.. The Release of the Picher looks Good and the Stats Overlays are on point.. I really like the feature of setting your feet to throw.. I really Like the Variety of hits in the game... With that been said lets jump to the Bad side of the Demo...
(2nd) THE ANIMATIONS on the game are terrible.. I mean even RUNNING the bases looks off... THE OUTFIELDERS dont even hop the right way before throwin to second the animation there its just an OUTFIELDER using his arm to throw the ball to second base or cutoff man its just plain bad..( EVERY BASEBALL player ON every positions uses his body and arm to balance the thow.. in this game all that is missing... THE BODY TYPES of the players are not well represented, for some reason the pichers always has the ball in his hands when the mayority of pitchers carry the ball on their gloves... THE INFIELDERS dont aproach the ball the right way and when they throw to the bases they dont even do a pre-set before throwing with time..(( A Pre-set its based on 5 steps?? 1st) Gather the ball. 2nd) set your shoulders. 3rd) pump fake at least once OR TWICE for more accuracy. 4th) set your feet. 5th) throw to base..))
I give the DEMO A (( 6.5 out 10..))

LMAO, at anybody thinking the Show has better presentation. Some of you guys are as lost as they come. 2K clearly has better commentary and presentation than the Show and that is undisputed.

The Show has better cutscenes but overall MLB 2K is superior in the presentation department.

It's OK. It is still choppy and feels "off". I will buy this on a price drop as it is my only option. Damn, it's like pulling into your driveway with a new Hyundai when the guy next door drives a Viper.

The demo is ok but nothing that inspires me to spend my money on it.

If not for the NBA combo I would be waiting for the price drop to 39.99..I think it is definitely gonna be a fun game but as always I am worried it is gonna take a patch a two to make this game feel right..It was a smart move by 2K bundling this NBA 2K. I can see alot of NBA 2K owners getting the combo and trading in their NBA 2K to get something off the $60 price tag..

Seriously the stuttering of the camera on foul balls?!, so five years ago and still there! 2D graphics for crowds above the 1st level of stadiums, seriously! We have walking fans in The Show! And still no option of fielding camera angles since the inception of this game (Low, Medium, High). Again The Show has it! Why can't fans have the option for this? C'mon! It is smoother but its the little things that count now not trying to make up for years of falling behind.

I thought the demo was horrible. The Rangers jersey's looked like they were playing in the dark in the middle of the day. A lot of players seemed to have Mo Vaughn upper bodies paired with Ichiro legs. Hitting was incredibly boring as you can basically do it with just one hand on the controller. The ball physics looked out of whack. Hit a line drive up the middle and it bounces once and then just rolls smoothly along the ground. Here's to hoping MVP Baseball is back very, very soon.

I was disappointed with the demo. I found the framerate to be extremely choppy. The same ol hit variety... none. What bothered me the most and i know its piddly but Loshe throws his fastball yet molina fires the return to the pitcher twice as fast. An infield single saw a baserunner in fair territory after passing the bag. Which should allow for a tag out. I can not believe 2k still hasn't figured this animation out yet. I was hoping for a step up but it seems they have gone backwards again. The lack of body types makes it very tough to view this as an upgrade as well. I do like the new throwing meter but it seems that baserunner speed will need seriously adjusted again. I may pick it up after it hits 30 bucks but i cant see it being worth the full 60 price tag.

I did find it funny that it was mentioned that The Show had better presentation, but everyone has their own opinion. To me, last year's baseball game had the best presentation in any sports game, and so far from what we've seen, this year's game is improving even more.

I also enjoyed last year's game and though there were no major improvements or innovations, there were a lot of little improvements that are easily going to add up this year. I'm definitely getting the game. It took a lot of little steps forward and as far as I can tell, took none backwards. I'll take a great number of small improvements over trying to do too much and having another NCAA 12 type turnout.

Thought the roundtable comments were pretty spot on. I have a PS3 and chose 2k11 last year over the Show because I felt it was getting stale. I see from most of the videos of the Show that the commentary has not changed much, which I feel is a strong area for the 2k series. I still have problems with the overall look of 2k12. I know its just a demo, but to still have framerate issues during foul balls and even some when getting a hit is just unacceptable. Played a game in the demo, Wainwright was pitching for the Cardinals and it looked nothing like him! Love the analog hitting and the pitching mechanics in 2k but just don't know if I can shell out $60 for this game again. I am going to wait to see a few of the reviews, I want to like 2k12 but right now I am leaning towards going back to the Show. I think it might be time for a change next year and I would love to see EA get back into MLB games. The MVP series is still one of the best IMO and I think the Show would have some great competition from EA or at least have to deal with the one nagging issue with that series, the commentary.

PLEASE do yourself a favor and go back to The Show! It's an absolute no-brainer for PS3 owners. If they made The Show for Xbox, no one would buy 2K. (To anybody wondering, that's never gonna happen because The Show is made by Sony.)

Rule #1: no comparisons between th two games.

What does everyone do? Make comparisons...*smh*

C'mon guys it's a demo round table. Unless you got something constructive to say about the demo then don't post at all.
