You've made a point like this nearly every other page on here. The answer is still the same: We wait for confirmation before we start arguing about features. You never know what something will entail based on third party information.

I thought of something: Will Diamond Dynasty use the DH or not? I know it's not a groundbreaking question, but it would be nice to know.

Also, what's this "we" stuff? Who's "we"? You? Because I am not "we" in this discussion. I am under no obligation to SCEA to keep some kind of street date on discussing features.

I am so excited for this mode. IMO, this is far and above the best sports game out there and they just added my favorite aspect to it, creating teams and building them up.

Couple of questions:
1) I am assuming this is not able to be done this year, but in the future, will you have the ability to start a DD League with X# of your friends, each starting with their own new DD team to begin the season?

2)Do you see a stadium creator in the future for this mode?

Well, I guess those were more suggestions for further developing this mode, either way, I am really pumped for this mode!

God bless SCEA, one of the few still committed to making good, quality games, instead of just making profit. Well done!!!

Diamond Dynasty ?
1.Manage your very own fully customizable MLB team online.
2.Challenge and beat CPU controlled MLB teams to recruit MLB stars for your team, and compete against other users?
3.customized teams for development points.

You mean this half-assed description?

Let's break it down.
1. You are not managing an MLB team. You are creating a completely fictional ballclub which will encompass both real and generated players. You do not start with the Yankees or the Reds or any other MLB ballclub.
It is customizable though.
Conclusion. Half right-half not so right

2.You are not challenging the MLB clubs to get MLB stars, you are doing that only to get there stadiums. You play against other players to not only gain points to get MLB players but to gain new generated players and gain budget to train your players. You will also gain players through the not mentioned recyler.
Conclusion. More wrong than right with this one. They did mention playing...so they got that right.

3. I'm not really sure what "customized team for development points" means.
Here let me try one...."yellow school buses for textbook handouts".

No real mention of the logo/uniform creator. Although one could argue that they meant that with fully customizable. How vague is that though. Did you know that from the description?

If you're trying to say...that you know everything about DD from the Amazon description. My hat is off to you.
I PLAYED DD and I don't know what it's fully about yet.

Actually, yes, everything else that was revealed so far, I gathered from the Amazon description. Everything you stated in that post, yes, I gathered from the original leak.

I am not saying it is not intriguing or that I wouldn't try it, just that the info hasn't changed much. That is ALL I said and I'm being villified for it.

See what I mean. I am a villan. I didn't realize that years of good standing with people could be destroyed with one simple observation. I don't feel as though what I asked was a big deal.

But while the description on Amazon hinted at the mode....IMO I don't see it as a correct description of the mode.
Not entirely.
If you see that.....more power to you.
Yes....some aspects of it are definitely revealed in that description. But very "on the surface" stuff.

So anyone in the know..... will we have access, to say the future/fantasy stadiums for this mode? Or will we be playing all of our games on the road. Even though we are giving our team a home city but no home park to play in.....

To me this just sounds like a really kick rear end type of expansion mode like from asb series... so we would have to have home stadiums to play in...

also does this mode also include team schedules??? like we would be playing a season with it or what... cause if so are we also able to choose what league and div we put our teams into???

One big concern I see with this mode is quitters... Will people who leave a game be given a loss and their opponent credited for a win?

Even in online games like NHL, there are a lot of people who quit if you are beating them badly and that's only a game that lasts about 20 to 30 minutes. I can only imagine people won't want to stick around for a 9-inning baseball game if they are getting drubbed. I actually hope there is a "concede" button of some sort... So you can quit a game without being penalized by simply giving your opponent the win.

I personally will be doing this mode STRICTLY off-line. Until they allow us to set up the game how we do off line online i will not be playing online...

i want the options to use auto def, base running, no throw meter, to bat and pitch from cameras of my choosing, etc etc... thank god this mode is playable off-line... cause if not it would be a waste for me...

Seems there was some confusion about cards vs. players.

Think of it this way - Cards are like an injured list or a minors system (that does not progress). They are tucked away only to be used or traded when you would like. Players don't lose service time because they are not a player yet - they are a physical card. You have to "activate" the card for this to become an actual player.

THEN, you have your 40 or so players - 25 are active and available and these are the players you choose to play. If they are eligible to play in a game, they are deducted one game of service time.

One question that comes to mind talking this out are how are Starting Pitchers handled? I can only assume there's a rotation that keeps track of starts. I didn't spend much time with the mode, but now I can't recall if we discussed how they would be handled. It doesn't make sense if you have Lincecum in your rotation and he gets deducted a point if he doesn't pitch..... Hmm...

I believe you can already use your own batting and pitching camera online. The fielding option, I'm not sure of... Control schemes are selectable too. Then there's "Play Now Plus":

Someone asked before about stat tracking, I'd be curious to know the answer as well. That was something that drove me nuts about Madden Ultimate Team, no players stats at all.

You do choose a home field that you do get to play in. I'm not sure how the home team is decided in match ups though. If it's challenger or just random.
No schedules....as this is match mode.
It's not a custom franchise/season mode in that respect.....the standings are by SCEA. We never got to see how that's going to work.....like divisions by record or game played....

Good question. I'm guessing it's going to be like the online league penalties.

It's not a custom franchise mode. It's matches....so there is no real set schedule. You can play as many or as few games as you like within the "seasons"(I believe they are setting a time limit(days/weeks(2 maybe) that represents a season.) This was all still being ironed out when we left so we don't know how it's going to be set exactly.
While the mode is playable offline....I think that only really gets you new stadiums to play in(by matching up against the real MLB teams) I don't think you're ranking changes by that ...nor do you train your guys playing offline(THIS...I'm not sure of.....I thought Ramone mentioned this though)

Not in the way you are thinking. While you can recreate a team....you can't make it into a custom type season ....

This is a good question right now. I'm guessing yes since Ramone mentioned a DD HOF......so stats must be kept somehow.
