Have to agree.

The grass looks kind of faded and pale.

It needs to be upgraded to 3D grass and make it more vivid in color.

Somebody make the Wiki guide to SCEA umpires and their strikezones!

If somebody decides to make this, you need to make sure the description for Clyde Washington is that he is the worst ump in the game. I remember somebody on here making a thread about him before. Then I was playing my brother, who is oblivious to a lot of the little things in the game, and he told me that the umpire behind the plate was horrible. I looked at him and said, " Well that's because its Clyde Washington".

The game gets the most important aspect of baseball wrong which is the pitcher/batter aspect. The ball looks like a flying saucer or something more than a baseball with trajectory and movement. 2K actually has better gameplay in that area, give 2K these graphics and people would salivate. Fix the ball trajectory and I will give it another try, other than that I am not interested in unimportant gimmicks.

If you don't care, is it necessary to make a post pointing out that you don't care?

There is a difference between posting you don't care and posting constructive critism. Ones useless and unnecessary, and one can be helpful.

i'd love a wiki style site. i'd chip in for sure.

It looks like www.wikispaces.com allows you to create a free wiki style website.

K_GUN, you know I'm on your team when it comes to wanting certain things in the game, but you're kind of disservicing SCEA when they didn't even really do anything. It's like if you record an A cappella on Facebook, then a friend plasters it onto YouTube, and users start complaining that you should have used an instrument. Don't ask where that analogy came from.

Again, SCEA didn't come out with an article saying, "Yes, this is MLB 12: The Show, and this year we're featuring new back-of-the-box features such as 14 new umpire personalities, closing gloves, and new cleats. You're SOL if you were hoping for anything else new in this game." Their screenshots were intently to show new uniforms, and there were implicit changes within the screenshots that forum members picked out and Ramone verified. Unfortunately, so far, the sky does not appear to be one of them (though the on-field lighting does), although it is still early on and there has not been any sort of comment on the matter from the team themselves.

In time, we will find out more about this game. We're all eagerly impatient to hear what else there is to offer, and some members have already made that aware in this thread. The difference between their posts and yours is that they didn't shun the notion there was more that was worked on in this game.

So you accuse me of making a "pointless" post when you're the one making a post about a post that you didn't like.. never fails.

Who are you? Do you even know the definition of a message board? It's a place where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

So yeah, not trying to start an argument, but I honestly don't really care dude. I've been playing The Show since 06. I'll say what I want. Thanks

No more of this.

If you don't care, you don't need to post. It's that simple.

You can post how you're looking forward to something else - but posting simply to tell everyone you don't care is risking an infraction.

Let's get back to the topic.

They need to improve on commentary and presentation. MLB the show game was the first one i played and I was disappointed. I literally feel asleep %50 of the time playing that game. I gave it one month and never played it again. 2k sucked too. But the presentation and commentary brought a sense of realism.

That's right -- who cares about fixing the hitting mechanics. I mean, if they have new cleats, then I'm sure I'll plop down $60.

These ignorant comments needs to stop. They don't add anything to the discussion.

This is a thread to let others know about tidbits being leaked from the Pictures thread by a member of the team.

This is nothing even close to an official feature list. You have no idea what is being done to the game this year because nothing has been released.

So stop the snide comments - the forum doesn't need them.

Sheesh, alright then.

I guess I'll try and get this back on track..

In the screen shot of Jose Bautista (new blue uniform - sorry don't feel like posting the pic but I think we all know which one it is) it shows him holding his bat in the air after hitting what appears to be a homerun. Someone in the other thread suggested that it may be a signature swing "finish." I didn't see anyone confirm nor deny this yet. Can we get some confirmation that the signature swing "finish" has made it into this years game?

Edit: Just checked the other thread; credit would go to abcabc for pointing this out.

Didn't they already have different "no doubter" home run reactions for each player? I seem to remember the reaction from a guy like Manny Ramirez being a lot more arrogant than a guy like David Eckstein.
