It looks the SAME as MLB 11 and MLB 10 !

P.S ( I'm not a MLB the show H.A.T.E.R , I just won't support them if they still putting out the same product) !

The lighting looks just about the same as MLB 11 The Show to me.

But don't take my word for it maybe it was improved I just can't really see it myself

So roster vaults, player vaults, stadium and uniform updates, roster updates, analogue controls, improved Road to the Show, co-op modes, improved online seasons, online challenges and other improvements did nothing for you?

Some people just aren't satisfied until Roy Halladay has heat vision and all batters carry flamethrowers in their back pockets.

fair enough....can you make the one type of geometry being used now just a little bigger?...or is it like the catchers straps on the players legs?

Ramone.

Did the Royals 2012 uniform updates make the game?

For the road grays, they changed the Kansas City script font and slightly altered the shade of gray used.

For the home alternate powder blues, they changed most of the color palette.

Thought they might be in this batch from today but didn't see them so I thought I'd check with ya.

Can't tell from this set of screenshots, but in previous iterations of the game I found women in the stands too well-endowed and quite distracting for serious gaming of old-fashioned baseball. Hope it gets fixed for MLB12.

If the style guide has the updates then yes.

Curious as to how this looks like the same game based off of screens ? screens where there are obvious graphical improvements ? we haven't even seen a gameplay clip but it looks like the same game ? odd

Any Vita screenshots?

Looks pretty good as always. Why, I don't know, but hearing about 14 new umpires made my night lol. And hopefully Progressive Field got a lot of love this year!

Ramone,

A few small details about Camden Yards. In MLB 11 The Show, the ad boards behind home plate are green, in real life the color of those boards matches the brick color.

In last year's game, St. Louis had this right...the color of the ad boards were about they color they should be at Camden Yards. Just a small detail but thought I'd point it out in hopes you all can get into this year's game. Also, the advertisements on the center field fence below the bleachers need to be longer. In real life, they take up most of the fence there, and aren't separated as widely as they are in the game.

Thanks!

Do you think we'll be seeing any screenshots of the New York Mets' new uniforms? And maybe Citi Field with the changed dimensions?

To be honest..none of what you mentioned did anything for me. Strictly a offline franchise player and graphics never make much of a difference for me. There were some gameplay improvements that I did enjoy though, and I'm not going to complain since its still the best MLB game out there and I know they can't always focus on offline franchise every year.

To each his own though.

I will retract what I proposed about a change in fan attendance. I just popped in MLB 11: The Show to check out how they had the attendance up there in the fifth deck, and it looked the exact same as in the Bautista image (scattered in the top deck).

Oh well, there are still more visual things to be beheld in this game, I'm sure. It might take gameplay footage to see it, but that's how we play the game anyway.

I know why the unis get messed up, because of the style guide MLB has then reference, but how come some of the stadiums always have issues? Don't they use photos of them to match up? I don't see how things can be messed up stadium wise if they are seeing the same visuals we see when it comes to the ball parks.

Because there are so many minute details in each stadium that need to be explicitly pointed out. They aren't missed intentionally. It's impossible for any dev team to be able to collectively implement all the tiny details that are screamed for on this forum with no assistance.

That's what the community is for, to point those things out. And SCEA listens. They don't get to everything, but that's expected. They do what they can and the stadiums in The Show look phenomenal because of it.

Drew,

thanks for the response.
I figured some of those small details are hard to catch, but I remember people saying colors of the walls are wrong, or parts are missing completely.
I mean 2k does it too, but i was just curious on how they do the stadiums and what they use as reference points is all.
not bashing, just honestly curious.

as far as the new photos.
I am still playing 10 and the pics this late in the ps3 cycle do not wow me anymore, as they shouldn't.

Tho i understand these pics were out there to show off the new unis. Not to show us any major graphical leaps.
Those days have passed on the 3.

that being said, they look as great as always.
par for the SCEA course.
they r the among the best in the biz, outside of NBA 2k player models.

as far as the Marlins Unis.
its so 80's.
