But why stop at the 34 teams available in 2K12? There is no reason why these ten teams should not be in the next installment of the 2K basketball series.

You forgot Jay Vincent - Forward as a key contributor for the 87 Mavs.

Think you covered it. I even would take the 1990 Suns. Chambers, KJ, Hornacek , West, Majerle.

the 93 Suns is vital. but as an added note, i would really like the 98 Lakers to be redone to include Nick 'the quick' Van Exel and Rick Fox. their absence from this year's game was a major letdown for me since that young Laker team was one of the best talent wise i've ever seen.

After the transactions are opened up between legends and regular teams, a few of the more recent classic teams you guys mention are going to be pretty darn makeable. The '04 Pistons became a lot cooler to me once I realized people were able to upload CAP's of real players to 2KShare. I found Rasheed this morning and threw him on his proper squad, giving the '04 team 7 real players (8, once Elden Campbell is able to be moved over from the '98 Lakers):

I think some other teams will have similar numbers ('00 Raptors). It's going to get a little crazy once those transaction borders open up.

Just to reaffirm, you know the '90 Cavaliers are included in 2K12, yeah? Or are you just saying you wish they had one of the Cavs teams that included Ron Harper?

i like every team all you guys mentioned in your posts but the top missing team from the nba greatest mode imo is the 1993 phoenix suns squad. i just love how barkley made that team so popular that season. the team should be included in 2k. i'd gladly pay for it.

# 55 nightcreeper @ 10/29/11 05:41 PM

Karl Malone, John Stockton, Jeff Hornacek, Bryon Russel, Greg Ostertag

I am a bulls fan from chicago and those jazz teams were solid solid opponents!

1946-1947 Philadelphia Warriors: The inaugural season of the NBA/BBA. The warriors cemented a tradition upon It's inception in 1946. Can't have the NBA without this team that started it all.

1995-1996 Vancouver Grizzlies: you know you miss this Canadian team regardless of it's relevance in the 90's!

2003-2004 Detroit Pistons: one of the greatest defensive teams in the history of the NBA, still does not get the recognition it deserves for it's efforts that year. A lineup of virtual cast-outs and assumed washed outs.

1996-97 Detroit Pistons: an underachieving team that was led by superstar Grant Hill. People forget that this team won 54 games that year in the east (the era in which jordan dominated in) and were bounced in the first round. Still, they were a great team to watch on the court.

Joe fulk's was the NBA's first superstar and he should be honored. Without him the NBA would not have progressed into a dominant powerhouse without the contribution of Fulks.
