I thought I'd share a cool little play I captured from the demo just now.
I was Milan playing vs. Arsenal and the cpu made a nice little move against me which a) I would never see done against me in FIFA 09 (my only football gaming experience) and b) would have been a for sure goal against me.
I thought it was really nice help from my ai teammate.
I'll be back with some more in depth impressions later.
^ That was great and it shows that you need to be timing your tackles well but it still irks me that after the through ball to the corner, NO ONE tried closing down Wilshere before he got into the box. Your closest CB didn't press out, the outside mid didn't track back, no CDM tracking back to cover your CB going to pressure the ball and your other CB and RB made no attempt to guard the players tight right in front of goal.
How effective are the sliders? I read that you can edit them in the demo.
Unless I'm missing something, I haven't seen anywhere to do that in the demo.

Yes you can.

After a couple of games, it still feels too fast even on slow. Not noticing much difference between 11 and 12 TBH. Looks like FIFA has gotten into the Madden trap of not changing too much and falling back on its sales and namesake.

Yeah nothing changed. Other than the entire new physics system, quick throw ins, and a whole new defending system.

I have played the demo a few times on Semi-Pro (I am a casual FIFA player and I usually stick to Amateur because my level of soccer knowledge isn't that great)
I could hardly get any player near the ball. With the auto-marking it was like the players always stayed about 2-3 yards away and left the opponents ample room to move. The manual marking didn't go much better because the CPU seemed to always be on turbo and always blew past anybody I selected.
I know my skill level (or lack thereof) plays a lot into this but it just seems like the jump in skill for the CPU from the lowest to just the next step up is steep.
I'm not wanting the game to do everything for me but a tad bit more pressure on the ball to force them into a mistake a time or two would be nice.
For me, at least, it's a very good football game. Great animations and awesome ball physics. I'm going to let others more technical about the player movement get into it, but I'm pretty damn impressed.
What are the fouls like? What frustrated the hell out of me in last years game was the lack of fouls and bookings charged against the CPU. Have you noticed an improvement in that area?
I really hope in manager or career mode they are not there...
last year they omitted this and now the in-game advertising for other titles are back?
I LOVE SSX can't wait for it and I think MOST of us are really gonna buy it cuz it's looks that good. but why put it ina soccer game? this might be worse than need for speed back in fifa 10...
Rant over.. as real as the game plays and looks this just doesn't make sense.
why am i always in the minority over this authentic view?

In the 3.5 matches I played this morning I only had 2 called. One on me with Hummels for a reckless standing tackle and the other against the CPU in the box for I think a standing tackle. They didn't show a replay and it happened so fast I couldn't tell.
