I can't play the patch until tomorrow night. I have the game for 360, so I was wondering what issues were present for you guys post-patch. Specifically, this no-huddle glitch I read about & also how the custom playbooks were fixed. Does anyone have experience changing team playbooks for RTG mode? Before the patch, I could use any of the default playbooks in RTG but if I changed that particular team's coach to a custom playbook, the game would freeze if I tried to practice or play a game. Has that changed? I'd love to use one of my custom playbooks in RTG. Any comments would be appreciated.
This game is installed to my HDD, so is every other game I play. I have a library of almost 30 360 games, a pretty decent sized library and I never ever play a game without installing it to my HDD first. NCAA 12 is the only game to freeze on my 360 in a very long time and the number of freezes have doubled in one day. That one day is also the day the patch came out. It's kind of strange myself and others are seeing so many freezes now that the new patch is out.
And to your other post about CPS's. It's so ridiculous I can't believe I am responding to it. Why does it matter if I am Joe Schmoe or Peyton Manning? I paid full price for the game(an overused expression here) and expect the features of the game to work. I like to run an up-tempo offense, which is no huddle 50% of the time, if not more, and I like to run a lot of different formations that I like to hand pick. With CPB's and the no huddle being broken, I can't run that offense. I have to run other schemes instead even though I don't want to.
Your reasoning makes no sense. Because I am some random guy from Tennessee means I don't need a CPB? That's just ridiculous and I'd hate to hear your views on more serious matters in the world, I'm sure they're beyond ridiculous.
un-freaking real. i just read this post while playing my newly started post patch dynasty and the game FREEZES. this crap keeps happening randomly and i can't get through some great games. i thought this was FIXED????
I have a box score from a game I played with Baylor against TCU in my blog. You all should check it out, amazingly realistic slider settings I'm using on AA. CPU Sim Logic and TOP in SuperSim is incredible. Love the updates, and it was well worth the wait
Was supersim adjusted? It seems to give more realistic numbers now.. but it may just all be in my head, as I haven't really kept track of numbers to reference or anything..
For what it's worth I have experienced no freezing issues, even before the patch I only had it freeze about three times, each time was during Online Dynasty.
It seems there are a good amount of people who aren't experiencing freezing issues and a good amount that are.
I mainly play Offline Dynasty, No Custom Playbook, Mustangs84's Rosters, SECElite's Heisman Sliders, Patch #2, also I am not using a Teambuilder team either. Perhaps the issue freezing is something I'm not using and others are?
I'm seeing CB's stay in their zone and not readjust to the developing play. Kyle Efaw of Boise St. just broke like 80 yards off of a speed option play for the TD.

I've been testing it all day, it seems at least to me, you can like only play one game at a time, because if you try to play another game consecutively then it freezes, but I have no freezes for any other games PERIOD, which makes me know that this is some NCAA football issue.

they tuned it to similar to what Madden has this year. Madden fixed the logic so more time comes off the clock. NCAA patched it so it copies that somewhat.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but whenever you open up the "Special Teams" playbook it defaults to a field goal formation, even in punting situations. Before the patch/tuner update it defaulted to punting formation in punting situations.
There's been a few times already where I've selected the field goal formation by mistake, and had to waste a timeout to get into punt formation.

Mine is the opposite. Mine is always at punt return even in FG situations.

Ah good to know, I hadn't even realized that. I use 3 or 4 teams in my dynasty's and just play the Offense so that's a great improvement for me!
Who are any of us to want to play with custom playbooks? we are fans of college football playing a game that we paid 60 dollars for to pretend...yes, to pretend. we shouldn't have to be a big time coach or player to want to try to run no-huddle offense or use certain plays/formations. We are entitled to it as consumers, in fact, as it is a feature in the purchased product.
Boise state is overrated by the way. Maybe if they would play someone that was truly a proven good team, instead of taking advantage of the stronger teams in decent bcs conferences, or the weaker teams in the better ones, knowing that they only have to prepare for one real game a season, or heaven forbid, play MORE than one good game a season, then people would respect them a bit more.
And kellen moore is not the joe montana of college football. He is the joe montana of the mountain west conference.

Except Kellen Moore has played like Joe Montana against SEC, ACC and Pac 12 talent in hostile stadiums and under a prime time national spotlight. Next.
