NBA 2K12 - All 15 Legends Announced

ESPN has announced the 15 legends in NBA 2K12 and their opposing teams. Both sides should have 10-12 accurate players represented according to the article. Here's the list of players and their opponents in the game:

Chris' Take: Seems to be a lot of a 'been there done that' with several of the guys and teams on the list. BUT, that doesn't mean it's still not cool (for now). Some of the guys are pretty exciting such as Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell, and Wilt Chamberlin. If the rosters from the opposing teams are spot-on as mentioned in the article, then this mode gets a lot more exciting and that appears to be the case. But really, a lot of the guys from the 90s and late 80s are rehashes of last year's teams on the Jordan Challenge. And it appears you have to play (or I'm sure pay) to unlock the teams in exhibition.

NBA 2K needs all it can to top last year's effort sales wise, I'm highly skeptical it's going to be able to match it with the NBA Lockout and a legends lineup that feels cool but somewhat rehashed as well -- but the mode should be quite cool at least one more year.

For the record, in MY opinion, if guys like Tarpley and Richard Dumas had stayed off the pipe, they had hall of fame level talent. Those dudes were beasts.

Are we gonna be able to use legendary team or legendary players in association mode???

I wanna see what Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon can do together on the same team

Yes, Da Czar confirmed it with 2k earlier today. You'll be able use the classic roster/players across all game modes once they are unlocked.

I watched a video on YouTube got NBA 2k12 that clearly shows Barkley in the Houston rockets Jersey and something else that looked awesome was when they show the Jordan vs Iverson matchup when AI crossed NJ up twice but according to the lift that era of the 76ers isn't on 2k12 & seeing how there's no NBA live again this year (thank god) 2moro would would finalize it if they could have various team USA teams, I did notice some Jerseys that appeared to look like international teams including 1 court they show in the video.

The video was probably just of a modded version of 2K11. There's plenty of those on Youtube listed as 2K12.

needs more 90' teams to 01 teams i can think of ten that would make this more interesting excluding barkley and reggie teams 90 suns,95 rockets, 01 bucks, 88 mavs, 92 cavs, 97 heat, 00 blazers, 03 nets, and 01 76ers, and maybe 94 hawks.

Im loving all the teams that are on this so far its gonna be endless fun but 2k most people my age know about nba history but dont care enough to have some of these guys on i rather have the early 00s Lakers, 01 Sixers, maybe the Blazers, and Wbu Gary Payton maybe yall should make a team with the guys that didnt make the cut like gary,clyde,etc. And really was a pippen challenge needed maybe take that one out with a 00 lakers one in the 2000 WFC
