Madden 12 News Post

Jon Robinson of ESPN The Gamer takes us through the team overall ratings for the NFC North in Madden NFL 12.

Green Bay Packers: 92
No surprise here as the Super Bowl champs are the highest-rated team in "Madden 12." Aaron Rodgers falls just one point short of "Madden" perfection, with a 98 overall, while Charles Woodson (93 overall) and Tramon Williams (92 overall) will keep the corners on lock.

Chicago Bears: 85
Combine Jay Cutler's 98 throwing power with Devin Hester (98 speed) and Johnny Knox (97 speed) going deep, and you have a very fun "Madden" team. Throw in the running of Matt Forte, and you have an offense to be feared.

Detroit Lions: 76
The overall team number is a little low, but I can see the Lions being a popular team this year for the simple fact that this defensive line is going to give people headaches. Suh (95 hit power) and Fairley (88 hit power) are going to abuse virtual backs so bad, "Madden" might need to bring back the old ambulance.

Minnesota Vikings: 74
Ever since Adrian Peterson stormed the league, the Vikings have been a popular pick to play as in "Madden." But if you're still playing as them this year, it's really only because you want to run the ball down your friend's throat as All Day. And why not when the back boasts a 97 overall rating with 97 speed, 97 acceleration, and 90 trucking.

Aaron Rodgers is a better QB than Vick by miles man. Who gives a **** about a QB rating it's all about wins and losses. Not how fast they can run.

Jermichael Finley is going to be an amazing TE this year if he stays healthy, you just watch. Comparing his stats to Brent Celek is moronic because Finley missed almost the entire season.

I'd say the receiving corps are about equal but the Packers also have Jordy Nelson who I believe is highly underrated and they just drafted Randall Cobb I think his name is.

The Packers are a MUCH deeper team thanthe Eagles (and most of the rest of the NFL) at almost every position except for our OL.
Oh please, you lost when you mentioned my spelling mistakes because that's all you have to go on something TRULY IRRELEVANT. Numbers don't lie but yeah they don't matter because of some spelling mistakes, do me a favor and let the adults speak.

Meh, to bad the packers don't play them this year they'd lose anyway and I don't plan on seeing them in the playoffs because they wont make it.

Lol, now you're trying to bait me again, what is wrong with you? Step away from the keyboard.

the rating system in this game needs to be down scaled some. it seems like 90 overall players are "common" in madden.

lol Are you serious? lol, the Eagles offense is way more explosive than both of those teams, which of those teams can give you a 80+ yard touch down on the first play and that has a QB that has the ability to run and pass? Also word on the street is Vince Young is signing with the eagles tomorrow, Andy Reid is a genius at turning QB's into elite QB's so when VY gets there expect him to make an impact on the Eagles at some point.

Plus Free Agency isn't over yet there's still room for the Eagles to make a move to make them even better.

MrMosinNagant, your moronic and completely bias statements have caused me to sign up to this forum JUST to tell you how bad you really look. To roast you really quick, You stated which of those teams can give you an 80+ pass td from the get-go, every heard of Aaron Rodgers to Greg Jennings? And if you even watch football without your bias covering your eyes , GB beat Philly AT Lincoln Financial field 2 times.
WEEK 1, then in the playoffs. And the 2nd game, You do realize that the Packers had a slew off players on IR? Finley,Grant,Barnett,Burnett,Jones just to name a few. With our non existing run game, Defenses play the pass AND YET mr.Rodgers does his job. You have no right whatsoever to compare and say Vick is on a level with Rodgers. Vick is a amazing player, but no way a quarterback on the level of Aaron Rodgers. You want to look at stats-wins-SUPER BOWLS maybe?Or both games we beat you was not enough? But finally say is- the Packers being in the injury bug situation they were in sneaking into the playoffs were carried by Rodgers and the Defense. YOU CANNOT BEAT THE EAGLES, (DOMINATE) THE FALCONS, AND BEAT THE BEARS ALL ON THE ROAD IN THE PLAYOFFS, AND THROW 3 TDS AND BEAT THE STEELERS IN THE SB, and not have a 92 rating.
Everything you say is 100% bias and pathetic. I would not be schocked if you read this and stayed quiet. Someone had to let you know that you are a joke.
Have a good day.

Take into account that Green Bay had 15 players on injured reserve, looking at those statistics I would say they are considerably better (at least on paper) than the Philadelphia Eagles (not to mention they beat them twice).
Considerably better? The Eagles aren't the lions or dare I say the cowboys muahaha, the only part of packers that is a little better than the Eagles is the defense.

PACKERS
Oh gee's you sign up just to defend the Packers how honorable of you.
All this talk about Aaron Rodgers like he is god, Please, Vick didn't play every game of the season. And you want to say Vick isn't as good as Rodgers, please does he or could he even do the things Vick does? NO! Defenses plan around him, will he run or pass? With Rodgers hes pretty much a pocket QB compared to Vick, sure Rodgers will take off and run but no where the elusiveness or speed as Vick. Vick has a rocket for an arm as well and has receivers that can go deep for those deep balls.

If it wasn't for the Packers knocking out Kolb, you wouldn't see Vick until later.

These ratings are based off of last year, not this years potential maybe if Jackson shows up to camp, we are in the playoffs.

Reading comprehension is a terrible thing to lose. You keep bringing up the long ball, man, last year, I never saw Rodgers throw the ball over 30yds in a game./sarcasm

Vick has one good year and he's catapulted into greatness. No need to bring up the Falcons, he had a below average completion % while in Atlanta.

VY hasn't proven anything, yet. That's like saying the 20th pick in the draft, Aaron Rogers was going to be a better QB than the 1st pick and QB of the draft, Alex Smith.

No need to come in here and cry fowl(no pun intended) the SB winning team is higher rated than your team.(especially with 2 victories on the road against your team)
