IS THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN??? Osama is actually dead, and there is a whole page of glowing comments on a new Madden game with no EA haters. Is this a sign that crazy things like the Jets winning a single f-ing Super Bowl can happen???
A poster comments on pictures released this weekend on how the Cowboys uniforms are wrong. A few days later we get a picture showing they are corrected.
Why are all uniforms not corrected then? Actually, why aren't they all correct by now.

Wwhooow, let's not forget whom the jets have to get through in there division*. But seriously, I just have a good feeling about this years madden game. I just want it to at least be playable to my standards. I'm done updating rosters. This year i need my NFL fix. Its only may and we have wait for the first set of gameplay vids to see the improvements that really matter. But If these graphics are a hint of what the gameplay will be, I will be a happy camper.
In that case he respects his rivals because that's a damn good screenshot!
As a Cowboys fan, I love that they got the little blue tape thing in there, particularly since it's something I've mentioned here and there over the past month or two. It's the little details make the game. Even if it doesn't actually say the players' names on it this year, I'm happy.
Call me crazy, but that level of player detail was already available in Madden 06, the first one for the Xbox 360. The models had uniform stains (not real time though), helmet degradation, stitched jersey numbers...even the warning decal on the helmets was readable. Everything was razor sharp and very nicely done, so much better than the blurry models they gave us in Madden 10. Sure, the proportions were all messed up and they looked like super-heroes but nevertheless, it was all there.
At the time though, all of this came at the expense of poor frame rate, bland textures for the fields, no referees, extremely limited animations set, etc etc etc. It was a bare bones experience with insanely detailed player models and equally impressive stadiums as well.*
EA realized that and in Madden 08, when they made the move from 30 to 60 fps, the game visuals (from a detail stand point) were donwgraded to an extent so they could try to make the game more playable. You could even notice the switch from low poly to high poly in the player models during manual replays (still present nowadays).
I'm so happy technology caught up with their artistic vision. Hopefully, we'll have outstanding player detail once again but this time, with great gameplay to back it as well.

I am with you on this one. They should post a pic like this for all the teams so if there are tweeks to be made they can get them corrected.
One of these years it would be nice if they could have an option for sleeve cuts. Yes there should be white at the bottom of D. Bryant and Wares sleeves but not for players like Romo.
at least try to do it to make up for PS3's version of Madden 08.
in Madden 07 we had 3D grass, HDR, High Rez uniforms etc...for both 360/PS3
I'm surprised PS3 users don't complain more about their Madden versions.
I recently bought a PS3 and got M11 to go along with it. The thing I noticed is that it tends to "hang" a lot more than the 360 version. Not gamebreaking -- I'd just think that PS3 users would be more vocal about wanting the game to play as smooth as the 360 version.

I've never had the game hang, though I have seen a couple of people comment on it.
AA is really the only diff between the two versions, so I agree with Afrikan. They need to finally stop with the ridiculousness. It's obvious the PS3 can do it, as there are many games with it (mostly first party games though). Sony has support resources for devs. What's the problem?
On topic. The new lighting looks much better. Still looks a little bright and cartoony, but it's much better than it's ever been, so I guess that's something. The detail looks excellent as well.
The problem with Madden though, is that when you play the game, there isn't anywhere near this level of detail. It's more than just the replays being higher res. There is actually A LOT of pop in when you zoom in. You see tons of details appear out of no where when as you get closer. You even see players magically get girth. Everyone is skinny in the normal views, but zoom in and be amazed as lineman gain 50lbs in an instant lol. It's quite jarring.
Screenshots are great and all, but Madden, at least to this point, doesn't look anything like that when you actually play it, so this isn't whetting my appetite I'm sorry to say. If they ever give us customizable views, so that I could play with a view that's close enough for the pop in to... pop in, then I'd be excited.
