MLB 11 The Show News Post

Okay everyone....this is the O.S.F.M. Opening Day set.

LINK.....http://www.sendspace.com/file/tckbk5

It is in the Roster Vault under
O.S.F.M. Opening Day....creator Knight165

This set includes....but not limited to:

-All teams 40 man players are correct(in some cases new players created)
-Approximately 80 new players added to replace players no longer in a teams system and to bring AAA(in most cases) up to date
-All players moved to have AAA/AA as close to possible. In most cases all players in AAA are present(some may have had to be put in AA). AA in some cases are exact....most cases though will have filler players from Single A...in some case quite a few from Single A
-MLB lineups/rotations as close to Opening Day as possible(rotations are not set up 1-2-3-4-5 according to how pitchers are percieved, but as they PITCHED to start the season....please don't say that so and so is not the #1 starter on a team, why is he in the first slot?(unless it's an error on my part)
-MiLB lineups/rotations set as to their Opening Day(as above). I tried to get AAA perfect, but I did not create/replace players at the expense of removing prospects....even fringe ones in most cases. I have about 35 players that would make AAA perfect...I will create them and release a player pack for those interested in that.
-Some minor tweaks(minor league players only!)

This is not a magic roster(nor is ANY), so if you don't use 30 team control the lineups and rotations will reset!!!

-For DL'ed players when the season started.....they are in Single A....use the DL feature to injure them or move them up if you like.
Here is the injuries to START the season...

All I did was the input the edits. Didn't touch anything else. So if they were fixed before the file was posted, then they're fixed. I downloaded the Opening Day Set so I assume that is, but not sure.

I personally won't be doing it because I don't play my franchise to mirror real life injuries, so that's not important to me. You can do it, I don't care. It wasn't my work anyways, I just input the pitch edits from RAZRr's spreadsheet.

Jason Kubel for Chipper Jones?????
Roy Halladay for Derek Lowe?????

Not liking those at all. I still think that gen 45 is the best motion for Lowe and even though there isn't a great stance for Chipper I am going with Langerhans.

When you say opening day set do you mean the one that Knight posted has only 3/4 of ImBacon's stances and very few of RunandShoot's equipment edits included or the OSFM 2.0 set that has everything finished ??

Bama...how did you do the break/control ratings? I have RAZR & Pope's spreadsheet as well and some of the pitches on players are different...which spreadsheet were you using? I've been changing them over when I see differences but most are correct I like some of the edits..a little confused by Nick Masset on CIN having a splitter as his main pitch, however...

I believe this roster is 2.0 ala the final opening day set...I checked the duplicates, they are on the fa list and correct...even Mathis...as well as the handedness...

I don't believe stamina ratings needed to be adjusted like in previous years, however relievers might need to be addressed...can anyone site any references from league sims? lemme know I'd be down for addressing them based off previous spreadsheets and personal work done....

For some guys, if SCEA already had the correct pitch type according to the spreadsheet, I didn't change those ratings at all. For example, if the spreadsheet called for a pitcher to have a Running fastball, slider, and curve...and SCEA had that pitcher with a 4-seam, slider, and curve...I just changed the 4 seam to a running fastball with the spreadsheets break ratings. So anytime you see ratings on a pitch that don't match the spreadsheet, those are SCEA default ratings. It just helped me speed the process up a little. I didn't do that for all players, but I was trying to burn through these on my days off while I had the time to do it.

For Nick Masset, I'm guessing SCEA already had him down for a sinker and had a 4-seam as his first pitch, so I just left the SCEA sinker rating and changed the 4-seam to the splitter according to the spreadsheet. That's why he has a Splitter as his first pitch. Like I said, I was pressed for time and was just trying to get through them all. Sorry I couldn't be more thorough.

# 450 RAZRr1275 @ 04/24/11 01:12 PM
On the spreadsheet pitchers were listed with their arsenal in the order that its used. Masset shouldn't have a splitter as his first pitch. It should be his 3rd or 4th

Did anyone post a download link for OD 2.0?
PSN is down right now so the roster vault isn't an option currently.

These are based off OSFM 2.0 Opening Day with Beckham's stances and RunandShoots equipment edits, as well as the 25 man rosters set by HustlinOwl. Enjoy!

OSFM 2.0 Pitch Edits http://www.sendspace.com/file/6qk16d

P.S. Stamina ratings were NOT changed.

EDIT: The 40 man rosters are not cut to 25. My mistake.

# 453 ThirdDegree5803 @ 04/24/11 05:50 PM
I see that...I saw some players on the old spreadsheet that were left off...I edited about 50 players and switched some around that seemed funky...about to switch Masset just kinda in a weird way like seeing a splitter as a main pitch...bama you mind if I post this? I did take the players who retired/zeroed out on the fa list and gave them their attributes back (depleted, however) as I might sign them in franchise if I decide to...

this took me about a couple hours last night...might get some more work in today, as I have everything thing in front of me...I know the PSN network is down now but as soon as its up I'll post this on the vault...lemme know guys...its looking good :-)...was a little confused on the Cardinals...seemed like it might of been skipped over/done fast due to time constraints...Wainright and Carpenders pitches look funky...

I am attempting to begin a franchise with this roster. When attempting to save I receive the error:

"Unable to locate the current saved file, which was created by another user. Therefore, no further progress can be saved at this time"

Has anyone else encountered this error and if so is there a workaround?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

PSN hackers attacked Admin Dev accounts, services returning in a day or two, SCEE source claims

* Posted April 24th, 2011 at 04:06 EDT by Adam Dolge
* 6 Comments

A source with close connections to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe reports that the attack to the PlayStation Network may be a bit deeper than originally reported by Sony. According to the source, who wishes to remain anonymous, the PSN sustained a LOIC attack (which created a denial-of-service attack) that damaged the server. There was also a concentrated attack on the PlayStation servers holding account information. In addition, “Admin Dev accounts were breached.”

As a result, “Sony then shut down the PSN and [is] currently in the process of restoring backups to new servers with new admin dev accounts.” The SCEE source said Japanese servers may be restored tomorrow while the U.S. and E.U. servers will likely be operational the following day.

While this information is only corroborated via a series of Facebook messages, it is certainly not a stretch. Sony Computer Entertainment America recently confirmed that it pulled down the PSN because of an “external intrusion.” This essentially means that hackers were to blame. Sony is officially conducting a thorough investigation. The PSN and Qriocity services were pulled offline by Sony on Wednesday, April 20.

There was plenty of speculation late this week that the Anonymous hackers group was to blame for the PSN downtime. The group previously targeted Sony in retaliation to the legal action against another hacker. Anonymous has since denied involvement in the current PSN downtime.

Again, this information is from a source who claims to have a very close connection with someone at SCEE. We take these reports for what they are at this time, but it is certainly a possibility. If you have information to share, please do so.

"Everyone deserves the right to know what’s been going on," the source wrote in an email.

Check out the related posts on the pitch edits here:
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-edits-18.html

There are a ton of changes that are needed for these pitch edits. So far, I've went through and corrected almost half of the starters and a few relief pitchers.

I've also been correcting a bunch of attributes. I know what attributes to assign for just about everyone, but no one knows everything. It would be great to see people contributing to the following thread:

I would love to post what changes I've made, but I haven't been keeping track of them.

I'm now having an issue with the lineups sticking. I'm using 30 team control and have everything for the CPU Profile on AUTO except Lineups which I have on MANUAL. I'm using Knights Opening Day Roster and I downloaded the 25-man and then added the 15 extra players to the rosters on the last day of Spring Training.

Everything seemed to be working great for the first two weeks of the season and now I'm running into an issue.

I'm only controlling the Orioles and I'm playing a series against the Yankees. Game #1 of the 3 game series was okay but in the 2nd game, wacky lineup combos are starting to occur.

They've got Cano batting 2nd (instead of Jeter against righties) and they've got Jeter batting 7th. I went out of the lineup screen to check their set lineups for every situation and they were still the way they should be.

I even switched to the Yanks in the initial lineup screen to see if the correct lineups stuck (and they did). But when I went back to control the Orioles and then started my game, the lineups got out of whack again.

I've done everything correct to set up the season....why is this happening now? I downloaded the patch - does that have something to do with it? Or is it something else? Please help me.

Is the CPU resting someone?....in that case it will indeed shuffle for that purpose.
