"Last year, EA Sports held a three-way voting competition for the Madden NFL 11 cover, which Brees won easily. The bracket idea is a shrewd move, coming at a time when much of the United States is consumed by picking brackets for the NCAA basketball tournament. EA Sports also needs a little more of a spark - and a long-lasting, visible campaign reminding fans that Madden NFL 12 will release as planned - as an off-putting labor dispute between NFL players and owners wears on."
I hope Jordan Gross, Jake Long, or the 12th man wins just to see what would happen! Although if the 12th man won, wouldn't that curse all Seattle Seahawk fans?
Yea the team would go 13-3 and lose the first game they played by a runningback stiffarming their dbacks in BeastMode style
Would love to see Peyton Hillis on the cover. I feel like too many of the choices are just one hit wonders. Danny Woodhead had a good year but he could just as easily disappear forever.
I think this is a nice little win for the marketing folks. I never care about who is on the cover, but their decision to present the choice in bracket format got me to actually vote on each match up.
I agree with those who say that to a large extent the "fix" is in. An executive decision has probably already limited the potential winners to a certain 5 or 6 guys.
Oh an if Seattle's 12th man were to win what happens to the Madden curse? Will all the Seattle fans suffer something crazy like the Seahawks randomly relocating?

Brett Favre unretires (yet again) and signs with the Seahawks after Hasselbeck is injured and put out for the season during training camp.
