"Last year, EA Sports held a three-way voting competition for the Madden NFL 11 cover, which Brees won easily. The bracket idea is a shrewd move, coming at a time when much of the United States is consumed by picking brackets for the NCAA basketball tournament. EA Sports also needs a little more of a spark - and a long-lasting, visible campaign reminding fans that Madden NFL 12 will release as planned - as an off-putting labor dispute between NFL players and owners wears on."
just thought of something with the whole Madden Curse thing. Drew Brees made the cover in 11, but he didn't suffer any type of injury so the curse didn't hold.
HOWEVER, he is THE one leading voice in this whole lockout thing, and we can prolly give him many thanks for the work stoppage. So maybe the curse did come true, just in a different form? I am sure a lot of people are not exactly happy with him.
If Brees wins again I'll riot like it's 2012 already. I'm torn between Josh Freeman, Matt Ryan,Vick, or Tebow and that's not because I want to see them get their publicity
Who cares who's on the cover...they could put a kicker & ppl would still buy it..heck, if they put Ty Wiggington on the cover of The Show, I'd still buy it no matter what..covers are overrated & ridiculous that it comes to a voting tourny.....
I hope Jordan Gross, Jake Long, or the 12th man wins just to see what would happen! Although if the 12th man won, wouldn't that curse all Seattle Seahawk fans?

But he did lose to arguably the worst playoff team in the history of professional sports. The curse isn't just indicative of injury.
