Madden NFL 12 Cover Athlete Up For Vote Again - 32 Player Bracket Viewable Now

The Madden NFL 12 cover athlete will be chosen, via a 32 player bracket style voting system. Kotaku has the scoop.

The bracket idea is a shrewd move, coming at a time when much of the United States is consumed by picking brackets for the NCAA basketball tournament. EA Sports also needs a little more of a spark - and a long-lasting, visible campaign reminding fans that Madden NFL 12 will release as planned - as an off-putting labor dispute between NFL players and owners wears on."

lol, wow, Seattle's only entry is the "12th man". I hope enough people vote for it just to see how EA reacts. Although I doubt they'd pull the trigger.

after looking at the bracket, there is no way this isn't gonna go the way EA wants it to go.

Would they really go with the 12th man, vick, hakeem nicks or some of the others for the cover of Madden?

The cover athelete needs to be recognizable to the casual, or at least marketable, no?

In any event, it should be fun.

Ouch at the hype socre for this game. Of course I voted for Carlos Dunlap over Hines Ward because I don't want my Steelers to be cursed again.

No way I'm voting for my boy Woodhead, call me superstitious but I want to see his career go places. Interesting choice over Brady, though.

Madden needs a pass rusher on the cover (maybe to emphasis improved d-line interactions - hint*hint), but looking at the bracket, I don't see any way that's gonna happen. Too bad, though. The only defensive player I see making out of the first round is Patrick Willis and maybe Freeney.

And what's with these choices? No Justin Tuck or Umenyiora, no Trent Cole, John Abraham, or Mario Williams, or Clay Matthews for goodness sake? Did they all turn down a chance for the cover?

How DARE you insult the Nickster? Im voting for him even though he has zero chance. I really want Vick to win just to piss everyone off. WTF were they thinking putting him on the ballot. The Eagles have plenty other good options lol.

voted for demarcus ware. Not only would he be representing my Cowboys, but he would provide defensive emphasis, which is what Madden 12 needs.
