I have one concern. Under the new XP system for online games, it said
"No longer will you receive full points for only completing a two inning game".
So if someone is a sore loser and they quit in the 2nd, I don't get as many points? This would be bad if you face random people and they quit.
What I do though, is that I only play people in leagues or people I know. I stopped playing random people and the game experience is so much better. However, it seems like people who play vs randoms get punished because of sore losers with this new XP system.
Would you agree or am I not understanding it correctly?
If these guys made a hockey game it would be incredible.
I liked a lot of the things 2k11 was adding but I don't like the feel of their games in the past. I bought the show for the first time last year. When my 360 broke I bought a ps3 because I only play sports games and they have all the same ones except the show. If 2k ever did have a better year than the show I could still get it for the ps3. After reading this it looks like they just took some of the stuff 2k was doing (authentic broadcast cams for pitcher batter). I have no problem with this I love it in fact. If they feel they might get beat somewhere they try to get better right now no matter how much time is left before the game comes out. Really looking forward to this game this year. Lots of people are saying the focus next year is offline franchise. Adding more to this is going to be so cool.

I would not agree. You have only invested two innings of time, so you aren't really getting punished if you get less points than you would have for completing a 9 inning game. If you take the term XP literally, to mean experience points, it makes perfect sense.
I could see your case if you are winning in the top of the ninth and the guy quits and you don't get full XP, but I'm thinking that won't be the case.
"(Note: There are no cross platform leagues available)"
I think it means exactly what it says... You can't have a league across platforms, meaning people who have the game for PS3 and then for PS2, can't both be in the same league.
It mentions all MLB stadiums, five minor league stadiums and classic stadiums. Does anyone know if the five minor league stadiums are real? Seems to me there were more than 5 minor league stadiums in past years.. Columbus Clippers have a beautiful new ballpark that I'm hoping will get put in some day.

they aren't authentic, but if u have a keen eye for those parks, you will see some similarities to real life parks.
also, there are more than 5 MiL parks, the fact sheet is mentioning there are 5 NEW ones added for 11.
I think theres 20 or so.

Ahh ok.. I thought that's how it's always been though?

Yes but say I go up 4-0 in the 2nd inning, then 7-0 in the 3rd inning. Then my opponent quits. Now I am getting punished right? Does that mean I have to keep the game close so my opponent will play the full game so I can get more XP?
I guess the solution would be to not play randoms. I am going to only play friends and league members since those people finish the games.
All I am saying is that I can see others complaining about this.
Maybe you are right though. Maybe I am just nitpicking. They have a similar type system in NHL 11 and I would get 7 of 10 people quitting and I would get less XP for it and it made me so angry that I was earning the wins yet losing XP due to quitters..
Maybe they will still reward people who get quit on?
I also want to say that this game is going to be amazing. I am starting a league with one of the NHL 11 moderators Luger33 and some of the EA NHL forum members and I am excited to have them see the game. THe mod is a Phillies fan so I have to deal with his stupid rotation but nevertheless it should be fun.
The improvements to the leagues don't sound like much, but they will make a huge impact!
¨ In-Game Bottom Ticker – Keep tabs on all the action during your Major League season with the addition of The Show's new in-game bottom ticker. You'll now get score updates of games in progress, pitching matchups for games yet to start that day, and final score results highlighting win/loss/save info and notable offensive performances—all recreated just as you would see at the bottom of your screen in real-life. Additionally, you’ll be able to set the ticker to display Friend Updates, so you can keep up with what your friends are up to in The Show.
¨ New Presentations – The Show continues to add to an already expansive presentation base by adding more ways to accurately mirror real-life broadcasts. This year, watch for new pitch-by-pitch sequences that look back at, say, all seven pitches in an at-bat that led to a walk, or a montage of a pitcher's last six strikeouts.

Been DYING for the "ESPN" style ticker for quite some time now. Looks awesome(what little we got to see)....
Now I just gotta keep bugging Kolbe(to bug Ed )...for in game breaks for highlights and events of other games...AND the weekly(ala TWIB) wrap-up show for you franchise.
Do you know if it has been mentioned whether we will be able to edit budgets before playing franchise? I know the devs said they improved it, but was wondering if it is based on market or what. I've been dying to know and have yet to find any type of information on this. Thanks.
