Probably not many people care about that over here but I would be very happy
I second that. I like to play exhibitions games every now and then. It gives me a chance to practise and improve certain facets of my game play. We all know games can last a couple of hours and I don't always have the time to go through a complete game. So it would be nice to be able to save it and complete it at a later time.

1. The build I brought to CES with me is current up to last week. Like every year a lot of batting/pitching stances and presentation stuff goes in the game extremely late.

2. I'm on the sticks I was striding just for show GT recorded over 10 minutes of footage I can't control what they choose to show.

3. With the addition of contact swing bunting has been moved to triangle. If you are using pure analog batting bunting is done by pressing up (not in) on the R analog stick. You influence your bunt by using the swing influence feature that has been in the game for years.
Two questions Ramone:

1. May I hit a home run even if I pick normal or contact swing, or is power a necessity?

2. Is there a way to turn off the HUD, or will it keep reminding me what the buttons are for on every pitch till judgement day?

Thanks for sharing your time with us!

1. Normal swing you will still be able to hit HRs like you can now with it. Some of us never use power swing and got realistic results and HR totals. Contact swing you will 98% more than likely not hit one. But there may be that one rare Gibson like fluke HR swinging for contact, but very very rare if at all.

2. Was mentioned in the first previews, the HUD is customizable and items can be shut off now I believe.

I apologize in advance if this has already been said in this thread, but it looks like Jimmy has a new batting stance this year. I hope the batting stances and pitching styles have been updated in more detail. (Yes, I know there's another thread on that topic.) Looks like the umpires got an updated attire as well..

Edit: On the thread, Video Interview: Ramone Russell - Revamped RTTS, New Training Modes if you closely watch the tv you can see Josh Hamilton and Aubrey Huff got new stances as well!

Speaking of bunting...

Maybe it's just me, but I've always had trouble when trying to check, or pull back a bunt. Is it any easier in '11?

Thanks for clarifying, customizing the HUD is a godsend, thanks again SCEA.

Russell,

I know this is a long shot, but what the hell. Are we going to be able to have division realignments like we had in earlier installments (I believe mlb 02 had this) in franchise? Thanks and good work this year

So for instance, there wouldn't be any special panning or invisible on-field cameras like right in front of home plate, etc.

Authenticity is the number one most enticing thing to capture in sports games; this change would be a big boost toward that ultimate goal.
I agree completely. I don't like cameras at angles you never see on TV. Madden is especially bad at this.

In line with this... one of the "features" I'm most hoping to see is the addition of a fixed position broadcast fielding camera. In real life, the "fielding" camera is in a fixed location centered behind home plate in the pressbox and just rotates/pans left to right. The broadcast camera in the Show '10 was more of a floating pressbox height camera that would either be centered or straight down the foul line depending on where the ball was hit. Hopefully one of the new camera angles is a center-fixed broadcast camera angle.

Same here. I asked about this question earlier but we haven't gotten an actual answer on it yet.

Do not know about custom camera angles for team specifics (personally doubt it, but you never know with these guys), but Ramone did wink above to new camera angles for replays and and cutscenes!

Haha for sure, that would be great! I'm indifferent about team-specific broadcast fielding cameras, but when I first heard about them I was mostly happy because I assumed this meant there wouldn't be three different fielding cameras, and instead just one behind home plate. So far, videos are showing that there are still those three (even if they're raised more, which would be a good start). Hopefully there will at least be that option for just that one camera angle.

so, you probably wont know this but its worth an ask.

Does this mean, if its raining and cloudy/overcast, at some point in the game it can turn to full on sun?
if so, hey now!

Russell, can you comment whether or not a new broadcast fielding camera (like described above), has been added for The Show '11?

No new fielding camera's this year I'm not sure if the broadcast camera has been changed.
