Anyone else notice that the CPU doesnt bother to try to stop you from body shotting them on the ground till all their stamina's gone?? I kneed Overeem like 20 times and he didnt even try to transition : and this was on LEGEND.

yeah, i noticed this too. I also noticed that all the fighters in the demo fight the exact same way. Overeem is not a d1 wrestler so i don't know why he continues to go for takedowns.

I stuffed 18 of the 29 attempts, its easy but its fun and ill take it over shining any day of the week. They've made a demo which is fun and easy to play without getting too arcady. With fighter share and gameface it should be a winner barring any major issues upon release.

I don't know man i'm not liking this so far the punches feel unresponsive and like they lack power and i don't feel like im in total control of my character.

With the sliding the movement looks way too fast imo,The takedowns look unrealistic and weird too. I was expecting to really like this being a big MMA fan and from all the videos and earlier impressions

I'll give it some time but there's not much i like here, But hey too each there own.Another thing i didnt like was the boring submission control system, like in ufc when i spun the stick real fast and got the submission working up a little sweat almost it was real rewarding. But this slow button pushing just has me like "huh i guess i won" .

No comprende!!!! lol

The reason this makes no sense to me on your level of reasoning. That means just about every sport game made would be boring. You mean you just got to press a button to shoot or throw the ball???

I can understand some of the other dislikes because like you said "to each their own". But the comparison of the shine being "exciting" "working up a sweat" to a strategic stamina management system just kind of send your post out of left field for me.

It's good when the demo to a game gets you to jump out of your seat and fist pump.

There will be some bugs in the demo that were not ironed out yet when branch it off. The gameplay team was off the demo a long time ago (my last changes went into the demo branch back in early July). It's a long process to get the demo ready to roll out and get through Microsoft and Sony for approval etc... So I would expect some glitches, I am quite sure these were ironed out in the main build though.

What I notice is that the animations look the same but some moves aren't represented by some fighters so it pans out, but things look the same because it animates the same. I think one thing I'm going to get used to is the animations. I feel there could be more.

I see what your saying about the animations, but more so what i mean by fighting the same is that they all seem to fight with a generic mix of strikes and grapples whereas in real life you'd never see someone like overeem attempt 20 double leg takedowns in a fight.

I just seen another cool thing. Fighting against Miller, I am the ground on my back and he is standing up kicking at my legs. Don't know how I did it but Shields took his foot and hooked it behind Millers ankle, causing him to fall on his butt, allowing me to get up and get on top of him in half guard.

Also I love the fact when a person pulls guard, it isn't an automatic takedown move. Mayhem jumped into my arms trying to pull guard and I was just holding him like a child and you see him tugging on the back of Shields head trying to make me fall forward.

But being my stamina was higher then his, after a while I just slammed him into the ground, causing his stamina to empty out.

And holy crap if Mayhem isn't a beast to play against. He goes all out non stop, constantly doing stuff. He is smothering.

I am absolutely sick of Waiting for the playstation store to update. why do we always have to wait for over 12 hours later than Xbox Live. what makes it worse is the fact i am in the UK so its already 11.15 pm. they obviously dont give a **** about customers

Good point. Come on guys. Let's not get too overwhelmed by the shiny new gameplay. This seems WAY better than Undisputed 2010 right now , but it isn't perfect. The computer letting me pound it's body on the ground out on legend difficulty is unacceptable and the computer goes for WAY too many takedowns.

Is it perfect ? NO

Better then Madden 11 ? Yes...

Better then NBA Elite demo ? Yes

Better then UFC 2009 ? Yes

Better then UFC 2010 ? Yes

I mean last time I checked in both UFC demos, the cpu went for a lot of takedowns as well. And in the UFC 2010 demo, you couldn't even freaking stop Machida from taking you down.

At least on here, you can stop them from taking you down. You can actually submit the cpu without shining the skin off your palm. Actually escape from a cpu sub attempt.

So putting things in perspective.....this is one hell of a demo. Perfect ? No. But still one hell of a demo that is more fun then both UFC games combined.

The game itself is really good and 10x better than the ****fest that was Undisputed 2010, but I don't like the striking. The feel of it just isn't right.

I was using Lashley and had back mount on Overeem. I waited for my stamina to recharge to max so I had more energy to put towards knocking him out from back mount (stamina is nicely done btw). Once it was charged back up I pounded away on Overeem and knocked him out, but it just didn't feel right. Like there wasn't any oomph to the punches or anything. IDK, it's hard to explain because it's a feel thing but I just think there needs to be more of a sense of power.

Now this is how an MMA game should be made!
