2K Sent us the overall ratings for every player in each team's starting five. Give the list a look through and let us know what you think! Did 2K rate your team right? Any surprises? Let us know!
Did all of you guys come from the 2kforums or something. Everyone knows that player ratings mean jack **** and that tendencies is the be all and end all. Stop Crying this is not 2003 anymore ratings are not the most important things in video games.
Everyone hatin' on John Wall as an 81 ovr. just wait! This kid's special. He's going to set the league on fire. He is Derrick Rose but smarter, better on defense, and with a better jumpshot (though it's still a work in progress).

I just don't see it in him. Rose definitely has a better jumpshot right now. Like it's been mentioned already, he has one of the best midrange jumpshots in the NBA right now. Wall is incredibly inconsistent in pretty much every facet, but especially the shooting. He turns it over a lot, makes a lot of poor decisions, is better than Rose defensively, but still is hardly a lock down guy despite the fact that he should be given his athleticism. I just don't get the hype around him.
Ya those ratings for the Milwaukee Bucks are SO PATHETIC. So bad I might not even buy the game. I am not sure now even....
Look at those ratings for the centers? Are you KIDDING ME? Bogut 82 and Brook Lopez 81? These are high energy defense nearly 20-10 guys when healthy and they are only in the low 80's? How do you rate these guys? Based on wether or not they can run a fast break? UGH.
Dude you can always edit the ratings you don't agree with. Not buying the game because of the default ratings assigned to your favorite team is just ignorant. This is setting up to be the most complete sports game to come out possibly ever and you're going to miss out because you're feelings got hurt by how they rated the Milwaukee Bucks....whatever floats your boat I guess.
Wow that was a stupid comment
y dont u also tell me rondo is a better point guard than lebron james? does that make him a better player?
sometimes i wonder if people actually know the sport
dwight is a better player than rondo that's not a crazy statement to make, and in fact, many people would agree so yeah... keep making "smart" remarks, but just know they're really, REALLY ****ing stupid
You really need to learn how to read. The thing you quoted of mine was a sarcastic remark to someone else. You shouldn't stick your nose in conversations that don't pertain you.

There's no way in hell he's smarter than Rose coming out of school. Wall had tons of idiotic turnovers and was much better in transition than he ever looked in a half court set in college.
omg chris paul should be a 89 dhoward 90 dirk 89 wall didnt even do nothing yet in then higher than brandon j that mess up and evan turner is a better all around player than wall turner 79 wall 78

Yes that is true Rose has a more consistent mid-range shot and I should have clarified that I don't think that Wall is even close to being BETTER than Rose at this point. But I (somewhat biased) think Wall has greater potential than Rose. Wall has incredible speed and athleticism - as does Rose - but what sets him apart is Wall's potential on defense, as a ball distributor, and as a three-point threat. I think Wall's long range stroke is better than Rose's was (and maybe still is) and that is what could set him apart in the future.
I know it's cliche, but Wall just has that "it" factor when I watch him play. He finds a way to win and is incredibly smart and mature for his age and a great leader. His biggest area for improvement will be his jumpshot and limiting turnovers. Once he can get those under control, the sky is the limit.
Kenyon Martin is a punk. And not missing any games only further proves how soft he is in my eyes. Dude shies away from contract like he's made of plasticine. Dude fades away on every shot no matter who is on him. Whatever, goes in, can't stop it, sure, whatever. It's also weak nonetheless.
Let the record show that I do not like 7 footers that play like they're 6'6". HOFer sure. He put up excellent numbers.
Maybe i'm missing something here
What NBA player doesn't use their go to move?
And if you don't like 7 footers who play like they are 6'6 then obviously you haven't paid attention the future of the NBA buddy
GM's look for 7 footers who can strecth the floor.....where the hell have you been lately
The days of a 7'0 going Wilt Chamberlin have long gone.....you don't have very many back to basket big men anymore not sure what year your living in right now.
Also durability is a sign of toughness if it wasn't Brett Favre wouldn't be who is he and Johnny Unitas wouldn't have been who he was.....i'm done debating it
You guys are over-valuing Overall Ratings way too much. Rarely have they EVER REALLY mattered recently in 2k games, and I'd be surprised if that changed.
Concerning Kevin Durant: Here are the players that are rated higher than him: LeBron, Wade, Kobe, Melo, CP3, and Deron. And since the overalls differ between positions, you can only compare him to LeBron & Melo. It's arguable at this point whether Durant's or Melo's skills translate to video game skills better, so you can really go either way. And they're only a couple points apart.
Honestly, none of you guys know the formula that contributes to overall ratings, and you're trying to do better? Explain to me how that works? Until anyone knows how the Overall Ratings are determined, this isn't really a conversation.
You must not watch the Bulls much. Rose is money from 16-23, more often than not. It doesn't matter if they give him space, he hits the shots.
Rose shot 49 percent from the field (really good) but only 27 from 3s. Now you said he makes from 16-23 more often than not? That would be more than 50 percent. Really? I know he's improved his jumper but his range goes no farther than 18-20 at the most. He's nice taking guys off the dribble, but if he hit from that range more often than not, he'd be more unstoppable than LeBron or Durant. And I do watch Bulls games, along with many other teams.

I'd wager it goes the full 23 feet. He and Deng live off that long 2. And supposedly he's been working on that 3 point shot all summer so we'll see.
YOu really want to compare an old guy like fisher who can barely stay infront of Rajon rondo higher then jrue holiday.....really don't think about what he did in the playoffs but were talking fisher as a point guard himself. He's old man
Who CAN stay in front of Rondo without playing 10 feet off him? lol. That's like saying he's not good cuz he can't D up LeBron. I think Fisher will be realistically portrayed in the game, I'm just sayin that's a pretty bad argument.
In my opinion the ratings should be based on the players value to that particular team, similar to how Madden does it. No way Dirk should be an 83 overall.

Really, even though he shot 27 percent from 3s? Prez said more often than not. I'm not taking a shot at Rose and I know his range is improving, but he's not water from that distance. Not even close.
